이스라엘의 넓은 평원에 먼지를 일으키며 버스 한 대가 달려온다. 지붕에 십자가를 싣고 달려오던 버스는 이스라엘의 성전에서 멈춰서고 70년대 남녀들이 내려 분주하게 뮤지컬을 위한 분장과 소품을 챙겨든다. 잠시 후 성전의 언덕으로 오른 그들은 예수 최후의 7일간을 음악과 노래로 표현하는 웅장하고 독특한 뮤지컬을 시작한다. 하느님의 존재를 알리고 많은 사람들을 구원하려는 예수와 이런 예수를 모함해 위험에 빠트리는 유다. 예수의 가르침에 많은 사람들이 그를 추대하고 존경하게 되자 그의 존재를 두려워하던 사람들은 유다를 통해 그에게 사기꾼이라는 억울한 누명을 씌운다. 결국 유다는 사람들의 군중 심리를 이용해 예수를 모함하는데 성공하게 되고 예수는 십자가에 못 박히는 신세가 되고 만다.

2세기가 넘은 고색창연한 대저택을 팔겠다는 전화가 걸려온다. 그것이 유령의 전화인지 몰랐던 부동산 중개업자는 한 걸음에 달려가는 데...! 부동산중개업자 짐 에버스(에디 머피)와 그의 아름다운 아내이자 비즈니스 파트너인 사라 에버스(마샤 톰슨)는 어느 늦은 밤 대저택의 주인임을 자처하는 에드워드 그레이시란 사람으로부터 한 통의 전화를 받는다. 내용인즉슨, 자신의 유서 깊은 대저택을 팔겠다는 것이다. 어마어마한 돈벌이가 될 것을 간파한 짐 에버스는 부동산중개업자로서의 자신의 경력을 단번에 업그레이드시킬 수 있다고 판단한다. 짐은 아내와 두 자녀를 데리고 그레이시의 대저택으로 찾아간다. 짐의 일행이 찾아간 대저택은 겉보기엔 분명 기이한 폐가처럼 보인다. 그러나 짐과 그의 가족들이 안으로 들어가자 저택 안에서 갑자기 거센 회오리가 휘몰아치고 쩌렁쩌렁한 번개가 치더니 기괴한 분위기의 그레이시와, 신비로움으로 가득한 집사 램즐리, 수시로 출몰했다가 사라지곤 하는 유령들이 그들 가족을 맞이하는 게 아닌가! 짐은 처음엔 그레이시의 설명 즉, 그곳이 유령들과 신들린 저택이라는 이야기를 듣곤 콧방귀를 끼지만 뜻밖에도 자신의 아내인 사라가 그레이시의 슬프고도 애절한 러브스토리와 밀접하게 연결되어 있다는 사실을 알게 되곤 경악을 금치 못하는데...!

존 던버(케빈 코스트너)는 연합군의 리더로 시민 전쟁에서 승리한 영웅이다. 그는 미국 개척지에서 근무하길 원했으나 받아들여지지 않았다. 어느 날 막사 근처를 맴도는 늑대 한 마리를 발견한 그는 드디어 늑대와 친해져 모닥불 아래서 함께 춤을 출 수 있을 정도가 된다. 그러던 어느날 그는 인디언 종족을 만나게 되는데, 거기서 추장의 딸인 주먹쥐고 일어서와 사랑에 빠진다. 인디언 땅을 계속해서 점령하려는 연합군에 맞서 싸우면서 존 던버는 인디언 종족과 더욱 친해지고, 문명이라는 이름으로 파괴를 일삼는 연합군에 맞선다.

Grandfather Alcide is given a surprise party by his many relatives. He, however, dies of a heart attack. The brothers Michele and Roberto Mannu and their brother-in-law Stefano Fais run the Babbudoiu Estate, a wine farm founded in 1948 in the surroundings of Sassari. The three partners are totally careless of the economic crisis and they waste money organizing lavish conventions for the success of their wines. But all this is doomed to an end. As a matter of fact the three partners suddenly find out that their company has 500,000 euros of debts and they only have 15 days to find the money. And it won't be easy: they'll try whatever, with an escalation of despair, comic situations, misunderstandings and absurd episodes that will lead to nothing. And when all seems to be lost, they find the solution which was right under their eyes: a glass of Bianco di Babbudoiu.
