아름답고 푸른숲 펀걸리에는 요정들과 갖가지 동물들이 오염되지 않은 자연을 가꾸며 풍요롭고 재미있게 살아간다. 그러던 어느날 호기심이 많은 요정 크리스타가 마법사 매지의 당부를 어기고 펀걸리 밖의 숲까지 날아간다. 그곳에선 검은 연기를 내뿜는 기계를 동원한 벌목꾼들이 나무를 베어내고 있다. 신기한듯 두리번 거리던 크리스타는 잭이란 소년과 부딪치게 되는데,그만 실수로 잭을 조그만 요정처럼 만들어 버린다. 펀걸리로 돌아온 잭과 크리스타는 아름다운 자연을 벗하며 행복한 시간을 갖는다. 한편 벌목꾼들은 펀걸리 숲까지 다가와 나무들을 베어내기 시작한다. 게다가 공해와 쓰레기를 먹고 자란 괴물 헥서스까지 나타나 펀걸리는 삽시간에 지옥처럼 변하고, 잭과 크리스타는 숲과 동물들을 지키기 위해 목숨을 걸고 싸우는데...
