어떻게 호기심 많은 원숭이 조지가 원작의 또 다른 인기 캐릭터인 '노란 모자를 가진 사나이(The Man with Yellow Hat)' 테드를 만났고, 대도시 뉴욕에 가게 되었는지에 대한 소개로 시작한다. 테드는 애착을 가지고 평생 직장으로 여기고 있는 박물관이 사라질 위기에 처하자 자처하여 "자가와의 거상"을 찾으러 아프리카도 떠난다. 우여곡절 끝에 발견한 자가와의 거상은 예상과 많은 차이가 있었고 게다가 아기 원숭이 조지는 테드를 따라 무작정 도시로 오게 된다. 호기심 많은 조지의 좌충우돌 말썽속에 데드는 모든 것을 잃을 위기에 처하게 되는데...

전도 유망한 정치인 데이비드(맷 데이먼)는 신비한 매력의 무용수 앨리스(에밀리 블런트)와 우연히 만나 사랑에 빠지게 된다. 하지만 둘의 사랑이 깊어질수록 그의 정치 생명은 위태로워지고, 알 수 없는 힘이 둘을 갈라놓으려 한다는 사실을 직감한다. 결국 그녀와의 만남은 물론, 그의 정치 생활, 그를 돕는 친구들까지도 모두 일명 ‘조정국’의 ‘미래 설계도’에 의한 것이라는 사실을 알게 된 데이비드. 이제, 그들로부터 벗어날 수 있는 방법은 단 하나! 바로 자신의 미래를 바꾸어 버리는 것이다.

The earliest surviving celluloid film, and believed second moving picture ever created, was shot by Louis Aimé Augustin Le Prince using the LPCCP Type-1 MkII single-lens camera. It was taken in the garden of Oakwood Grange, the Whitley family house in Roundhay, Leeds, West Riding of Yorkshire (UK), possibly on 14 October 1888. It shows Adolphe Le Prince (Le Prince's son), Mrs. Sarah Whitley (Le Prince's mother-in-law), Joseph Whitley and Miss Harriet Hartley walking around in circles, laughing to themselves and keeping within the area framed by the camera. The Roundhay Garden Scene was recorded at 12 frames per second and runs for 2.11 seconds.

A drunken homeowner has a difficult time getting about in his home after arriving home late at night.

Donald Duck goes to a museum of modern inventions. After getting in without paying, he meets a robot butler who takes Donald's hat every time he sees him. Donald is very annoyed by this and magically fixes himself a new hat every time this happens and strolls on. Ignoring the sign not to touch it, Donald starts playing with a wrapping machine and ends up being wrapped himself. He also encounters and tries out a robot nursemaid and a fully automatic barber chair. They both don't do him much good.

The use of smoking gives you access to exclusive places and meet important people.
