디트로이트 시경의 액셀(에디 머피)은 정의감이 강해서 소동을 피우는 괴짜 형사이다. 어느 날 친구 타이키가 살해당하지만 경찰은 수사를 꺼린다. 액셀은 범인 추적을 위해 비버리 힐즈로 간다. 액셀이 그곳에 도착하면서 여러 가지 소동이 일어나지만 결국 액셀은 사건을 해결한다.

Frank Bullitt: 스티브 맥퀸 분)는 어느날 시카고에서 온 존 로스(Johnny Ross: 팻 레넬라 분)란 자를 48시간동안 보호하는 임무를 맡는다. 존 로스는 통신사를 운영하며 모은 정보로 범죄 조직을 협박한 자로 상원 의원인 찰머즈(Walter Chalmers: 로버트 본 분)가 범죄 소탕을 위해 그를 증인석에 세우는 대신 신변 보호를 보장한 것. 그러나 보호도중 범죄 조직원의 급습으로 존 로스는 중상을 입고 끝내는 병원에서 숨지게 된다. 살인범을 잡으려는 블리트 경위는 사건이 종결되지 못하도록 존 로스의 시체를 빼돌리며 수사를 계속하는데, 마침내 경찰을 신뢰하지 못한 존 로스가 자신과 닮은 앨버트 레닉이란 자를 대신 내세워 자신의 신변을 보호하려했음이 밝혀진다.

킴벌리 웰즈(Kimberly Wells: 제인 폰다 분)는 가벼운 이야기에서 심각한 뉴스까지 모든 걸 다 접해 보려는 TV 리포터이다. 킴벌리가 핵 발전소에 대한 특집 기사를 취재하려 할 때 그녀는 프리랜서로 일하고 있던 리처드 아담스(Richard Adams: 마이클 더글러스 분)를 카메라맨으로 고용한다. 핵에 대한 위험의 목소리가 높아지고 있을 때 그들은 취재차 발전소를 방문하고 거기서 사고를 당하게 되지만 엔지니어 잭 가델(Jack Godell: 잭 레먼 분)에 의해 간신히 모면하게 된다. 리처드는 방문 기간 중 모든 내용을 카메라에 담았고 그걸 방송국에 가서 방송을 요청하지만 거절당한다. 하지만 몰래 작품을 빼내 핵 전문가들에게 보여 주기로 한다. 한편 잭은 사고에 대해 수습은 하려하지 않고 감추기만 하려는 당국에 불만을 품게 된다. 그리고 그 속에서 이루어지고 있는 음모와 비리를 밝혀내려고 노력하면서 그는 킴벌리와 리처드에게 연락을 한다. 그 후 잭은 자신이 위험에 빠져 있다는 걸 알게 되고 그는 권총을 가지고 조정실로 간다. 그리고 그가 유일하게 믿는 방송 관계자인 킴벌리에게 자신을 인터뷰할 것을 요구한다. 한편 잭의 상사들은 한 미친 놈이 발전소를 장악했다는 소문을 퍼뜨리고 잭은 압력을 받게 된다.

So Alex has to present himself nude in Caroline's bed. He saves Carolines inheritance. The police officers investigating the case are so terminally stupid that Alex has little chance of being arrested.

Kuhle Wampe takes place in early-1930s Berlin. The film begins with a montage of newspaper headlines describing steadily-rising unemployment figures. This is followed by scenes of a young man looking for work in the city and the family discussing the unpaid back rent. The young man, brother of the protagonist Anni, removes his wristwatch and throws himself from a window out of despair. Shortly thereafter his family is evicted from their apartment. Now homeless, the family moves into a garden colony of sorts with the name “Kuhle Wampe.”

One winter night, Pilar runs away from home. With her, she takes only a few belongings and her son, Juan. Antonio soon sets out to look for her. He says Pilar is his sunshine, and what's more, "She gave him her eyes"...
