일본 국민에게는 국가번영유지법이라는 의무법이 있다. 국가번영유지법이라는 것은 18세에서 24세 사이의 무작위 몇명이 국가에 의해 죽음을 맞이하게 된다는 것이다. 이러한 국가번영유지법은 생명의 가치를 높이고 국가의식, 생산의욕을 향상시키고 있다 한다. 25세가 된 후지모토 켄고(마츠다 쇼타)는 무사히 그 의무기간을 마치고 난후 이젠 그 의무를 부여하는 기관에 들어간다. 그리고 기관의 원칙에 따라 죽음이 확정된 사람들에게 24시간이 남은 순간 찾아가 이키가미(사망예고증)을 주며 그에 대한 보상을 읊어준다. 대상자에 대한 과도한 간섭은 규칙위반이라는 것을 알지만 후지모토는 자꾸 그들에게 인간적인 감정을 가지게 되는데...

1977년, 통일 이전의 베를린. 정신과 의사 클램페러를 찾아온 패트리샤는 무용 아카데미에 마녀들이 산다는 이야기를 늘어놓는다. 의사는 진료 노트에 자신이 만든 괴담을 사실로 믿고 있다며 패트리샤의 이야기를 망상이라 기록한다. 한편 블랑 선생의 지도를 받기 위해 미국에서 베를린으로 건너온 무용수 수지는 무용 아카데미에 입단해 블랑의 마음을 사로잡는다. 선생들은 수지를 패트리샤, 올가에 이어 마녀 마르코스에게 바칠 제물로 여기지만 블랑은 수지가 범상치 않은 존재라는 걸 직감한다. 수지 역시 블랑에게 춤을 배우며 잠재된 내면의 능력을 일깨운다.

Shangri-La follows the lives of a group of homeless people in Japan who run into a man who nearly commits suicide and decide to help him out of his financial troubles. Using their various ingenious resources they embark on a complex scheme to blackmail a crooked businessman, whose bankruptcy claim has put people out of work. It’s a fun romp as these seemingly homeless people manage to outsmart the very people who cast them from society.

Frenetic in its pacing and with miniscule character development, this trite slapstick farce stars three Italian comics - Paolo Villaggio, Lino Banfi, and Massimo Boldi as the idiot-nephews of a wealthy invalid (Enrico Maria Salerno). The uncle's plan is to teach the trio how to successfully steal for a living but the plan does not have a chance against their exaggerated ineptitude.

아담스 일가는 가장 고메스(라울 줄리아 분), 부인 모티시아(안젤리카 휴스턴 분), 딸 웬즈데이(크리스티나 리치 분), 아들 퍽슬리(지미 워크맨 분) 등 4명이다. 어느날 아담스 일가의 고메스의 형인 페스터(크리스토퍼 로이드 분)가 행방불명된 지 25년만에 나타난다. 사실 그는 페스터가 아니고 이 집의 재산을 탐낸 늙은 여인 아비게일(엘리자베스 윌슨 분)의 아들이 고메즈로 변장한 것이다. 차츰 고메즈는 페스터의 어색한 행동을 보고 의심하기 시작하여 여러가지 시험을 해보는데 그 과정에서 아이들은 페스터와 정이 들어 그를 따르게 되어 고메즈도 페스터를 믿게 된다. 결국 아비게일 모자는 음모를 순조롭게 진행시켜 고메즈 일가를 떠나게 하는데 성공한다. 그러나 음모를 밝히려는 아담스 일가와 어머니의 독재에 염증이 난 페스터는 폭풍을 부르는 책을 펼쳐 악인들을 쓸어내는데...

조용한 시골 마을. 오랜 시간에 걸쳐 공장에서 화학 약품들을 무단 방류한 탓에, 오염된 하수구에 살고 있던 달팽이들이 약물로 인해 변화한다. 그 뒤 몸집이 커지고 공격적인 성격으로 바뀌면서 마을은 삽시간에 재난에 휩싸인다. 호수에서 물놀이를 하던 젊은이를 시작으로, 마을 주민들이 달팽이에 의해 처참한 죽임을 당한다. 결국 많은 인명 피해를 겪은 뒤, 뒤늦게 사태 파악에 나선 인간들은 달팽이들의 서식지를 찾아 반격에 나선다.

잘 생긴 외모에 훤칠한 키 어디 내 놓아도 손색없는 워렌 스테이시, 그러나 그는 싸이코다. 성적 컴플렉스로 인해 과다 노출과 과도한 폭력성 그리고 강간 살해 등을 일삼는다. 같은 직장에 다니는 아는 여자부터 일상에 스쳐간 인연이 닿는 여자들은 모두 그를 무시했거나 상대해 주지 않았다는 이유로 처참히 살해 당한다. 강력 반장 레오 케슬러는 불의를 보면 참지 못하는 다소 과격한 형사다. 신참 파트너 맥칸을 데리고 사건을 수사하던 중 워렌이 범인임을 오랜 형사 생활의 직감으로 지목하고 취조하지만 오히려 폭력 수사라는 반발 앞에 그를 풀어 주고 만다. 그가 범인이라는 확신이 앞선 반장 케슬러는 그에게 외설죄를 적용, 구속 시킨 후 그의 옷에 피해자의 혈액을 묻혀 놓는 증거물 조작으로 그를 살인범으로 법정에 세우지만 그의 충실한 파트너는 양심선언을 해 버리고 결국 증거 조작이라는 불명예와 함께 살인범은 석방이 된다. 삭방된 살인범 워렌은 이제 케슬러의 딸을 죽이기 위해 그녀의 기숙사로 쳐들어 가고 애매한 여학생 여럿을 잔인하게 살해 한다.딸 로리는죽음 일보 직전에 아빠인 케슬러 반장에게 구출이 되면서 살인범 워렌은 체포 된다. 체포 되면서도 태연한 연쇄 살인마 워렌은 이렇게 외친다. 난 정신병자이므로 가석방되어 다시 보게 될것이다“ 그순간 레오 케슬러 반장의 총구가 불을 뿜는다.
