Having been married for seven years, a tourist office director and his well-known television presenter wife, Alekos and Efi Fotiou go through a crucial phase. Dedicated to their careers, they rarely meet, and when thy actually achieve it they always end up quarreling. The only family they have, their uncles, suggest they have a baby. She finds it a good idea, but Alekos thinks that they won't be able to raise a baby properly. This dispute brings them one step closer to divorce, which now seems the only solution, especially when Efi starts to believe that Alekos is flirting with Tzouli, and Alekos suspects that his wife is having an affair with Dimitris. When it is finally proved that none of this is true, and, actually, Tzouli is planning to marry Dimitris and Efi's aunt Dimitris' uncle, they all get reasonable, the couple gets over its crisis and they live happily ever after, together with their newborn child.

One day, while Grigoris is working and singing at a construction site, a conductor, Vangelis, and two bouzouki musicians happen to pass by. They listen, enchanted by his limpid voice, and suggest that he becomes a member of their orchestra. Thus, the newly-wed day laborer gets a second job at Mr. Lefteris’ night club. His wife, Marina, soon joins him at the club, and, before long, she too goes on stage, cuts capers and charms everyone. Her success, however, has a negative impact on the couple’s relationship, since Marina’s admirers as well as those of Grigoris’, turn one away from the other.

With him, we taste the mud of the fields, the loneliness of the countryside, the "sold out" matches, but also the ephemeral glow of success. Pantelis Voulgaris signs a film that left an era, as, in addition to its original directorial perspective, it outlines the phenomenon of Greek football in a poetic and at the same time realistic way.

The father takes to his bed after his hernia acts up and never leaves it. Of his three sons, only one wants to do much about leaving, and he does in fact cross the front threshold of the house with his lover, who is also the maid. However, before he has gotten very far, he is very tired, and goes to sleep where he stands. One of the sons outdoes them all by sleeping literally all the time. He is not in a coma -- he is just very, very lazy and tired. Some critics have viewed this film as a sharply delineated social satire.
