어느 한적한 시골마을, 마을에는 사람의 목을 잘라 그 피를 제물로 바치면 평화를 지켜주는 구덩이가 있다. 구덩이에 제물로 바칠 피는 마을의 도자기 장인 '다와이'가 빚은 얼굴모양의 도자기와 닮은 사람의 목을 잘라 구해야 한다. 하지만 이번에 마을의 제물로 바쳐질 사람은 임신한 지 2주차 밖에 안된 '에이다'. 그녀는 자신의 뱃속의 아기를 지키기 위해 자신의 얼굴이 빚어진 도자기를 숨긴다. 그리고 며칠 뒤 마을사람들이 그녀 대신에 의문의 사고로 죽어가게 되고, 이 사건이 자신의 탓을 알게된 '에이다'는 마을에서 도망치게 되는데... 과연 '에이다'는 마을의 저주에서 벗어날 수 있을까?

Chanthupottu is a 2005 Malayalam film directed by Lal Jose, written by Benny P. Nayarambalam, and produced by Lal. The story is about a man named Radhakrishnan who was brought up like a girl by his grandmother.

The movie revolves around two friends (Sebastian and Angel) who suddenly discover their love for each other. They elope on the eve of the girl's marriage, much to the chagrin of her brothers. The film essays the lovers' struggle for survival.
