시놉시스
외국 어느 도시. 여배우인 영희는 한국에서 유부남과의 만남이 주는 스트레스를 이기지 못했고, 다 포기하는 길을 택했고, 그게 자신의 순수한 감정에 대한 최소한의 예의라 여겼다. 그는 이곳으로 온다고 했지만, 영희는 그를 의심한다. 지인 집에서 점심을 먹고 같이 해변으로 놀러 간다. 자신을 이해하지 못할 거 같은 선배 언니에게 묻는다. 한국의 강릉. 지인 몇 사람. 불편하고, 술을 마시고, 그 사람들을 놀라게 하고 싶다. 초연한 척, 거친 척을 하는데 인기가 좋다. 혼자 남은 영희는 해변으로 놀러 가고, 해변은 맘속의 것들이 생생하게 현현하는 곳이고, 그리고 안개처럼 사라지는 곳이다. 사랑은 삶에서 얼마나 중요한 것이어야 할까? 영희는 정말 알고 싶다.
Dileep plays Solomon in Marykkundoru Kunjadu, a village simpleton who has been nicknamed Kunjadu, since he is adept at getting beaten up by people. Loosely based on a '50's movie of the same name, it tells the story of two young orphan boys who travel by themselves from the Old country to join their father's family in Canada. There they encounter their stern disciplinarian grandfather who has alienated himself from some of his neighbors. There is particularly no love lost between the grandfather and his Dutch neighbors, who he generalizes as being responsible for his son's death in the Boor War. A side product of this animosity is that it is keeping apart the boy's aunt and her Dutch doctor suitor. The two boys change everything though when they find a young baby on the beach...
