오리지널 그리스 갱들이 졸업하고 이년 후. 라이델 고등학교의 졸업반이 된 젊은이들에게도 갈등의 시기가 다가온다. 미모를 자랑하는 그룹 핑그레이디의 리더 스테파니와 새 얼굴 마이클의 만남은 이 학교에 새로운 사건을 몰고 온다. 새 클래스메이크가 된 마이클은 영국에서 온 샌디의 사촌으로 스테파니를 만나자마자 반하게 된다. 마이클은 스테파니와 가깝게 지내려 하지만 핑크레이디는 이곳의 갱들인 티버드의 여자라서 아무도 건드릴 수 없다는 게 지역의 불문율이다. 어떻게든 스테파니의 사랑을 얻으려는 마이클은 스테파니를 그 친구들에게서 떼어놓거나 아니면 스스로 그들의 세계에 들어가야만 하는 처지가 되는데...

어렸을 때부터 남자처럼 자란 FBI 요원 그레이시(산드라 블록)는 꿈에도 생각 못한 임무를 떠맡고 만다. 폭탄 테러범이 미스 U.S. 대회를 위협하고 있으니 위장 출전해 대회를 감시하라는 것. 평소에 머리 한 번 제대로 빗어본적 없던 그레이시는 임무를 피하려 발버둥쳐 보지만 얼마 전 사고를 친 대가로 기어이 대회장에 끌려 가고 만다. 다리 털을 뽑고 머리를 부풀리고 온갖 치장을 한 끝에 미스 뉴저지로 다시 태어난 그레이시. 그녀는 멍청한 줄만 알았던 미인 대회 참가자들이 의외로 다양한 생각을 가지고 있는 것을 보고 놀란다.

잘 나가는 변호사 '프랭크'는 바쁜 일 때문에 딸의 학예회에 가기로 한 약속을 지키지 못한다. 학예회가 끝난 뒤에도 아내와 딸의 귀가가 늦어지자 걱정되어 계속 전화 연결을 시도하던 프랭크에게 경찰이 찾아와 아내와 딸이 살해당했음을 알린다. 충격과 죄책감으로 인해 괴로워하던 프랭크는 범인을 찾기 전까지 침묵하기로 서약하고 자신만의 방법으로 복수할 것을 다짐하는데...!

The story is based around an American Idol kind of TV talent show and the eventual winner of the contest: a young orphan woman, who works at an orphanage herself. As I learned from the werkfilm on the DVD, the story was specifically written for Oláh, who in real life was the runner-up of the very first such TV show in Hungary “Megasztár” (“MegaStar”) in 2004. She didn’t win there despite being many viewers’ favorite and having a terrific voice. It is kind of a consolation that she won in the movie, although reading the legal troubles about getting her fee must have made the victory sour.
