Anne Shirley, now a schoolteacher, has begun writing stories and collecting rejection slips. She acts as Diana's maid of honor, develops a relationship with Gilbert Blythe, and finds herself at Kingsport Ladies' College. But while Anne enjoys the battles and the friends she makes, she finds herself returning to Avonlea.

걸프전이 막바지에 달할 무렵 걸프만에 주둔한 미군들은 무료한 나날을 보낸다. 그 때 이라크 포로의 항문에서 발견한 지도에는 후세인이 탈취한 금을 숨겨둔 벙커의 위치가 표시돼 있다. 소령관 게이츠(조지 클루니)와 애국적인 군인 트로이 배로우(마크 월버그), 신실한 크리스찬 엘진(아이스 큐브)이 금을 찾아 나선다. 그 와중에 이라크 반군 난민들과 마주치고 이들은 쓰리 킹스의 금 운반을 돕고 자신들을 이란으로 망명시켜 달라는 제안을 한다. 이들의 딱한 사정을 알게 된 쓰리 킹스는 금괴를 포기하고 죽음을 무릅쓰고 망명을 돕는다.

플린의 집에 괴한이 침입하여 플린에게 부상을 입히고 고대의 두루마리를 훔쳐간다. 신비한 암호가 새겨져 있던 그 두루마리는 솔로몬 왕의 보물이 숨겨진 곳을 알려주는 지도의 단서가 적힌 것으로, 플린은 도둑들이 나머지 단서와 솔로몬 왕의 보물을 찾는 것을 막기 위해 급파된다. 솔로몬의 보물 중 특히 솔로몬의 책은 신비하고도 위험한 힘을 지닌 것으로 그 책을 해독하는 자는 시간과 공간을 지배할 수 있게 된다. 모로코로 간 플린은 그곳에서 성경과 고대 역사의 전문가인 고고학자 에밀리를 만나 그녀의 도움을 받게 되고 함께 두루마리의 단서를 찾아 떠나게 된다.

캔사스 주에 주둔한 박스터 부대에는 미 육군 최고의 명물인 어니스트 빌코 상사가 근무하고 있다. 수송부의 특무상사인 그는 부대 내에서 병사들을 상대로 내기, 복권판매, 심지어 소모품까지 판매하는 등 군기라고는 하나도 찾아볼 수 없는 한마디로 구제 불능인 군인이다. 하지만, 부대장인 존 홀 대령이 방문한다는 소식이 전해지면 모든 잡동사니들은 금세 사라지고 대원들은 잽싸게 근무상태로 돌입한다. 이러한 상황을 모두 진두지휘하는 빌코 상사는 단연 부하들에게 최고의 인기를 자랑한다. 그러나 평화로운 시절이 지나가고 어느 날 갑자기 박스터 부대에 찬바람이 불어닥친다. 예전에 빌코 때문에 오지로 전출됐던 쏜 소령이 감사를 위해 박스터 부대를 방문하게 된 것. 우연히 빌코가 근무하고 있다는 사실을 알게 된 쏜 소령은 과거 빌코에게 당한 것을 복수하기 위해 음모를 꾸민다. 그는 국방부에 특별감사를 요청해 박스터 부대, 특히 빌코가 근무하는 수송부에 대한 대대적인 감사를 벌이는데...

Bundy is tried in the media and his good-boy attitude brings him sympathy but also the hatred of many.
