고등학교 시절, 첫사랑 아담과의 첫 거사를 치르던 캐시는 알몸으로 온 동네를 뛰어다니는 끔찍한 망신을 당하고 도망치듯 대도시로 떠난다. 어머니의 장례를 치르기 위해 12년 만에 고향으로 돌아온 캐시. 변호사가 된 아담과 오랜만에 재회하지만 헤더와 결혼했다는 사실에 실망한다. 헤더는 아담과 아이를 가지려고 무던히 애쓰지만, 그의 정자로는 임신이 불가하다는 소식을 듣게 된다. 아이를 간절히 원했던 헤더는 정자은행이나 입양까지 알아보지만, 절차가 복잡하고 시간이 오래 걸린다는 이야기에 ‘섹스 칼럼니스트’ 캐시에게 은밀한 난교 파티의 주최를 부탁해 아이를 갖고자 한다. 어색한 분위기 속에서 그들의 첫 번째 난교 파티는 기대와 다르게 흘러가고, 더 많은 준비가 필요하다는 것을 깨달은 그들은 철저한 계획 하에 두 번째 난교 파티를 열게 되는데…

1950년대 지방의 경영 대학을 졸업한 노빌 번즈가 직장을 구하기 위해 이리저리 돌아다니다가 허드서커사의 우편물을 분류하고 정리하는 직업을 갖게 된다. 이 허드서커사의 회장 워링 허드서커가 어느날 본사 44층에 있는 중역회의실에서 중역들이 보고 있는 가운데 아무 이유 없이 뛰어내려 자살을 한다. 이때 머스버그 이사는 회사를 장악하기 위하여 여러 가지 음모를 꾸미는데, 이는 즉 회사의 주가를 폭락시킨 후 그것을 헐값에 다시 사들여 회사를 장악한다는 계획이다. 이를 위해서 어리석은 회장이 필요하게 되는데 그때 회장으로 발탁된 사람이 바로 노빌 번즈이다. 번즈가 실수만 하기를 바라는 이사는 번즈가 폭락하는 주가를 붙들기 위한 새로운 상품, 즉 훌라후프를 만들어 팔자고 제안하자 이사는 이것이야말로 주가를 더 폭락시키는 좋은 아이디어라 생각하고 그것을 추진한다. 그러나 그 훌라후프가 우연한 기회에 전국적으로 인기가 폭발하게 되고, 심지어 대통령까지 이 훌라후프라는 놀이기구에 빠져들게 된다.

뉴욕 최고의 상류층이 모여있는 타워를 책임지는 전문지배인 조시(벤 스틸러)와 동료들은 그 동안 모은 돈을 펜트하우스에 사는 미스터쇼에게 맡기고 투자하지만, 미스터 쇼의 사기와 횡령으로 모든 돈을 날리게 된다. 하지만 우연히 미스터 쇼가 타워의 펜트 하우스 어딘가에 2천만 달러를 숨겨놓은 사실을 알게 되고, 타워에 대해서는 누구보다 능통한 이들은 머리를 모아 전문 털이범 슬라이드(에디 머피)까지 초빙해서 떼인 돈을 훔쳐내기 위한 기막힌 계획을 세우는데….

Lyonya Shindin — a conscientious and decent man — is trying by all means and by any means to change the decision of the commission...

A small construction team led by Potapov suddenly refuses to receive a bonus payment from their company for exceeding performance targets. The team accuses its construction company HQ with artificially reducing the targets, so they can be easily exceeded. It makes the management looks good, yet leads to frequent downtime reducing earnings for common construction workers even with fake bonuses. On a hastily organized meeting the management tries to subdue the "unruly" gang leader charging that he cannot know all details. It turned out that Potapov and his team prepared a detailed business analysis, which proved their point. Managers, who had different interests and positions, have to decide how to deal with the real problem leading to unexpected results.

In a futuristic, antiseptic food factory, workers select healthy chicks, while the rejects are carried along a conveyor belt until they are crushed by a mallet and drop into a garbage bin. A single black chick appears among the yellow and is shoved toward the garbage bin. Before the mallet strikes, the gasping chick rebels.

An original portrayal of a small Czech village where – as the locals put it – an UFO has landed in the form of a kilometre-long silverish factory: a Korean Hyundai automobile plant. The village, hitherto famous mostly for its sauerkraut and the “Radegast” beer was thus turned into an industrial zone – the largest greenfield investment project in the Czech Republic’s history. Nonetheless, for a long time many farmers resisted selling the land upon which the factory was now standing. Eventually, they all succumbed under the pressure from the neighbours, and even the anonymous death threats. The filmmakers returned to Nošovice two years after the dramatic property buyouts, at the time when the factory has just started churning out cheap cars. Combining the perspectives of seven characters, they have composed a portrayal of a place suddenly changed beyond recognition that is playful and chilling at the same time: a politically engaged absurd flick about a field that yields cars.
