Come and Get It (1936)

1955년에 남겨진 마티는 박사의 흔적을 찾는다. 브라운 박사가 1855년으로 갔음을 알게 되고, 폐광 속에 숨겨져 있던 드로리안을 찾아낸다. 1855년의 서부에 도착한 마티는 드로리안의 고장으로 곤경에 빠지지만, 맥플라이 가문의 선조인 세이머스와 매기 부부의 도움을 받고 박사도 만난다. 고장 난 드로리안으로 시간 여행을 하기위해서는 그에 달하는 속도가 유지되어야 하고, 박사와 마티는 그 속도를 얻기 위해 기관차를 이용할 위험한 계획을 세운다. 하지만 박사는 여교사인 클라라와 사랑에 빠져서 그 시대에 남고 싶어한다.

1885년, 네바다의 어느 작은 마을에 들어선 길과 아트는 술집에 들어가는데, 어쩐지 분위기가 심상치 않다. 가축 도둑들 때문에 신경이 곤두선 마을 사람들은 낯선 사내들인 길과 아트를 경계한다. 때마침, 목장주 킨케이드가 살해당했다는 소식이 들려오는데, 보안관이 없는 사이 무장대를 조직하는 건 불법이라는 판사의 만류에도 불구하고, 분노에 찬 마을 사람들은 무리를 지어 살인자들을 잡으러 나선다. 길과 아트 역시 의심받지 않기 위해 무장대에 합류한다. 발간 당시 ‘올해의 소설’로 선정되기도 했으며, 인간이 정의를 무시한 채 폭력을 선택하면 어떤 일이 일어날 수 있을지에 대한 냉정한 실험정신이 돋보인다는 평을 얻은 월터 반 틸버그 클락의 동명소설을 각색했다. 서부극 장르에서도 묵직한 주제를 다룰 수 있다는 새로운 가능성을 보여준 중요한 작품으로 평가된다.

This meditative French-Canadian film tells the story of a young woman's search for the father she has never known. Marie Chapdelaine (Carole Laure) grew up in a remote area of Quebec without ever knowing her father, a lumberjack. She moves to Montreal, settles in there with a job as a topless dancer and begins her search for him. Eventually, with the help of his former mistress, they find the lumber camp he was working in, only to discover that he was killed in a labor dispute.

Donald Drake, a deep sea gondolier ex soda jerk, arrives at the All Nation Cafe in Shanghai. The proprietor believes he's a penniless ne'er-do-well - which he is - but he unexpectedly comes into a small windfall. As Donald ends up telling the two good time girls his life story - most specifically about the blonde he let slip through his fingers, she who was the love of his life - a few revelations and the errant coin he left at the roulette wheel betting table change his life.

Just as Nevada wins $7000 in yellowback bills, Ben Ide takes his $7000 and heads out to buy mining equipment. Burridge has his man Powell kill Ide and retrieve the money and Nevada finds Ide just as the posse arrives. Found with the money Nevada is arrested and Burridge now gets Powell to incite the local citizens to lynch Nevada.
