A Memory Play (2023)

Jackson, a young aspiring writer, goes to the South of France where he encounters a group of young French people who change his outlook on life.

Matti and Niila, growing up in the mid-sixties in the harsh and conservative environment of a Finnish-speaking part of Tornedalen in Swedish Laponia, close to the Finnish border. Their big dream is to become rock stars. In the present the now grown-up Matti feels guilt for the death of his drug-addicted rock star friend Niila.

In Los Angeles, a colorful assortment of bohemians try to make sense of their intersecting lives. The moody Dark Smith, his bisexual girlfriend, her lesbian lover and their shy gay friend plan on attending the wildest party of the year. But they'll only make it if they can survive the drug trips, suicides, trysts, mutilations and alien abductions that occur as one surreal day unfolds.

In this musical short film set in 1961, 17-year-old Kathryn begins a fashion internship to help design a line for the Seattle World's Fair. Kathryn struggles to defend her passion for a creative lifestyle against disapproving family and friends.

Stuck in a creative block, we follow 'The Writer' as she documents the process of finishing her screenplay. Stuck between looking outward for inspiration, or looking inward, she realizes that maybe this plot will write itself.

In May 2024, a group of teenagers live in the woods next to their hometown which has crumbled into a dystopia since a global virus hit years ago. The students are on their own on one final day before their would-be college graduation - the day they've decided to split up and go their own ways into the world. As rivalries clash, secrets get spun out of proportion, and new connections are made, they all have to learn how they can live their best life in this dystopian world.

Shot in direct cinema style, working from a script that left room for the teenagers to improvise and express their own thoughts, the film sought to capture the immediacy of the youths presence their bodies, their language, their environment.
