어린 시절부터 고향에서 함께 자라며 평생을 함께하기로 한 아봉과 소호, 그리고 대강. 어느 날 대강은 아봉과 소호에게 자본의 도시 상해로 함께 가자고 설득한다. 금의환향을 꿈꾸며 상해에 도착한 소호와 아봉은 “파라다이스"라는 클럽에 가게 된다. 그 곳에서 아름다운 여인 루루의 노래를 듣고, 당시 상해에서 명망 높은 파라다이스의 주인 홍사장을 보게 된다. 아봉은 클럽의 한 모퉁이에서 우연히 상처 입은 마크와 마주치게 되며, 치료를 위해 자신의 집으로 데리고 간다. 이 때부터, 아봉과 친구들의 인생, 그리고 그들의 우정은 엇갈리게 되고, 취생몽사의 파라다이스 클럽은 변화가 일어나기 시작한다.
