In the beginning of the Second World War, Germans, Austrians and persons without nationality living in France are sent to the concentration camp of Les Milles by France government. Commander Charles Perrochon is the responsible for this camp and he promises to the leaders of the prisoners to protect them from the Nazis. When France is invaded by the Germans, Commander Perronchon will disobey orders and his superiors trying to save these men. He gets a train, a ship and money from USA to send about eight hundred of these prisoners to the safety of Casablanca, in Marrocos.

The astronaut Charles Enak refuses to come back to Earth after completing a mission in orbit. While he also refuses to give any explanation for his behaviour, the world enters its biggest crisis since the Cold War. As journalists try to find out more about Enak and his backstory in communist Poland, they discover that he possesses the ability to influence people's sub-consciousness.

The action is set in the early 20th century. The film is made up of six sequences. In the first, Michal, young man who came from Poland to Germany, enrolls in a course on how to behave in social situations and on etiquette. However when he tries to approach girls using the rules which he's been taught... he only makes a fool of himself. Then, he goes to work for a man who owns a carousel and who loves to chase other women. In the next sequence, Michal meets the divorced landlady, Mrs. Luther, and goes through a whole lot of erotic experiences. When he escapes exhausted from his landlady, he starts working in a mine and visits brothels on a regular basis. He looks on women in a totally cynical manner. However, his persistent wandering must finally result in a true love.

A small-time racketeer Stefek evades mob bosses by passing himself off as a mentally unstable cleptomaniac and laying low in an asylum. The racketeer and his closest devotee escape from the asylum and find work at the opera. Stefek becomes stage-doorman and soon discovers that the opera doubles as a brothel.

도서관 지하실에는 난쟁이 왕국이 있다. 이들을 지배하는 사람은 대령이라고 불리우는 독재자로서 그는 철통같은 비밀경찰을 손아귀에 쥐고, 난쟁이들에게는 증산을 강요하면서, 자신은 소위 킹사이즈라고 불리는 인간세계에 나가, 난쟁이들에게는 존재하지 않는 여자를 즐기고 있다. 난쟁이가 인간처럼 커지기 위해서는 "킹사이즈"라는 특수약물을 필요로 한다. 이 약은 난쟁이 세계의 몇몇 과학자들의 손으로 조제되지만, 이들조차 각자 자신이 만들어내는 성분만을 파악하고 있을뿐 전체적인 배합은 하지 못하고 있었다. 대령은 자신이 킹사이즈로 변해야할때 이 약물을 쓰는 것이외에 난쟁이 세계의 과학적인 진보를 파악하기 위해, 혹은 인간세계의 물자를 구입하기 위해 난쟁이 중의 엘리트를 인간세계로 파견할 때 킹사이즈 약물을 사용하여 난쟁이를 인간의 크기로 확대하곤 하였다. 주인공 올로도 인간세계의 문물을 난쟁이 세계에 도입하라는 명령과 함께 킹사이즈로 확대된 인간이다. 인간세계에서 인간들의 생활을 경험해본 올로는, 특히 여자를 품에 안아본 후로는 난쟁이 세계로 돌아가지 않겠다는 결심을 하게 된다. 올로는, 함께 확대되어진 과학자 "아담"으로 하여금 독자적으로 킹사이즈의 개발에 착수하도록 요청하고 오랜 연구 끝에 아담은 약물 배합에 성공하게 된다. 하지만 그 약물을 올로에게 전하는 과정에서 난쟁이 세계의 비밀경찰에게 습격을 받고 체포되어 다시 난쟁이 세계로 끌려간다. 인간 세계에 혼자 남겨진 올로는 아담이 체포되기 전에 빼돌린 킹사이즈를 전해 받은 알리스를 찾아가 이야기를 나누던중 알리스 또한 난쟁이의 후예라는 사실을 알게된다. 알리스의 아버지도 난쟁이였으나 대령의 독재에 반대한다는 이유로 도끼로 변화시켜 버렸다는 것이다. 올로는 알리스의 안내로 대령의 독재에 항거하는 비밀조직을 만난다. 이들은 난쟁이 세계로 쳐들어가 대령을 없애고 모든 난쟁이들에게, 난쟁이로 남든지 킹사이즈가 되던지 스스로 판단하도록 자유를 준다. 모든 것이 끝나고 알리스와 함께 영원한 킹사이즈가 된 올로가 행복에 겨워하는

Film opens on December 18, 1999, just a few days before the dawn of the new century. A local reporter, Iron Idem, announces that the Martians have landed. Shortly after that his program loses its independence: he is given the script telling the crowds how to welcome the invaders.

Takes place on an ocean liner from Canada to Poland. It is a story of several people with pasts and problems stemming from uncomfortable confrontations. The main confrontation is between a Polish doctor with a heart condition meeting a man he knew before. Neither of them was willing to admit their differences from the college days. The meeting torments the doctor enough to start him drinking and dying of a heart attack.

After Poland won freedom from of its long overlordship by Russia and the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918, it took a further four years for its National Assembly to elect Gabriel Narutowicz as its first president. Narutowicz was a professor who until his election had been living in Switzerland. Those were chaotic times, and shortly after his election, he was assassinated by right-wing fanatics. This epic Polish film chronicles the circumstances of Narutowicz's election and assassination.

Nights and Days is a family saga of Barbara Ostrzenska-Niechcic, (played by Jadwiga Baranska) and Bogumil Niechcic, (played by Jerzy Binczycki) against the backdrop of the January Uprising of 1863 and World War I. The film is a rather straightforward and faithful adaptation of a novel by Maria Dabrowska with the same title. The plot is woven around the changing fortunes of a noble (upper-class) Niechcic family in the pre-WWI Poland. There are two main crossing threads: a social history one and an existential one. The cinematographic version is a condensation of the 12 part award winning TV serial of the same title and using the same cast and producers.

Following a successful robbery on Christmas Eve, two thieves go hiding into a children's home, where every child is expecting Santa Claus to come soon.

A wealthy German family is divided by the immorality of Nazi Germany, circa 1944. Former professional colleague, Joachim Peters, escapes from a Nazi concentration camp, and seeks refuge with his friends, the Sonnenbruchs. Torn between their duty as German citizens, and their greater humanitarian sensibilities, the family is divided in how to deal with Joachim's presence.

Set at the turn of the century, the story concerns a Polish poet living in Cracow who has decided to marry a peasant girl. The wedding is attended by a heterogenous group of people from all strata of Polish society, who dance, get drunk and lament Poland's 100-year-long division under Russia, Prussia, and Austria. The bridegroom, a painter friend, and a journalist each in turn is confronted with spectres of Polish past. In the end a call to arms is called but turns out to be a hoax.

제2차 세계 대전 중 나치의 폴란드 점령기 시절, 독일군 병사들이 미할의 집에 쳐들어와 아내와 아들, 어머니를 학살한다. 숲속에 숨어있던 미할과 그의 아버지는 목숨은 건졌지만 가족의 학살을 막진 못했다. 미할은 저항군에 합류하기로 결심하지만, 합류하기도 전에 게슈타포에게 들켜 쫓기는 신세가 된다. 게슈타포를 피해 도망치던 중 미할과 비슷한 복장을 입은 사람이 미할로 오인돼 대신 체포되며 추격전은 끝나게 된다. 총소리를 듣고 나온 아파트 주민으로 보이는 임산부는 게슈타포에 체포된 남자를 보며 울먹인다. 체포된 남자가 그녀의 남편이기 때문이다. 그 장면을 목격한 미할은 자신 대신 체포된 남자보다, 그 남자의 아내인 임산부를 보고 더 놀란다. 임산부의 외모가 얼마 전 학살당한 자신의 부인과 너무도 닮았기 때문이다. 게슈타포가 떠나간 뒤 임산부에 집에 들어가 보는 미할, 임산부는 출산이 임박했는지 고통스러워한다. 미할은 얼떨결에 그녀의 출산을 돕게 된다. 출산이 끝나자 미할은 긴장이 풀렸는지 아님, 게슈타포가 쏜 총에 맞은 어깨 출혈 때문인지 혼절하게 된다. 이번엔 반대로 임산부가 미할의 어깨총상을 치료해 주며 미할을 간호한다. 자신 대신 체포당한 남편에 대한 죄책감 때문일까? 아님 죽은 아내와 너무 닮아서일까? 미할은 발진티푸스 센터에서 백신을 만들기 위해 번식되는 실험용 '이'에 피를 공급하며 식량배급을 받는다. '이'에게 피를 빨려 식량배급카드를 받고, 그 식량으로 임산부에게 밀가루와 감자를 나눠준다. 미할대신 남편이 잡혀갔음에도 여자는 게슈타포에 사실을 알리지 않고 미할이 주는 밀가루와 감자를 받아 생활한다. 미할은 여자와 갓난아이를 보며 잃어버렸던 가족을 다시 만나는 듯한 기묘한 체험을 하게 된다.

A 12-year-old boy (Gregorz Zuchowicz) and his father embark on a fishing trip where the boy hopes to get to know his father better. When a young woman leaves her boyfriend after a quarrel, the father invites her along on the trip. The boy's hopes of a father-and-son retreat are shattered when it becomes obvious dad is after more than fish. The girl's boyfriend finally returns for the girl as the son watches the two men face off from his position above on a sand dune. Sadly, the boy goes off by himself to fish while his father is busy with other things in this drama of a boy's realization of the harsh realities of the adult world.

리자(알렉산드라 슬라스카 분)는 아우슈비츠에서 SS감독관으로 있었던 자신의 과거에 대해 두 가지 다른 회상을 들려준다. 첫 번째 회상은 전쟁이 끝난 수 독일로 돌아가는 화려한 쾌속선에서 남편에게 들려주는 불온한 부분을 삭제한 버전이다. 그녀는 서로 사랑하는 사이인 남녀 수감자가 만날 수 있게 호의를 베풀었지만 그 이상 그들의 운명에 관여할 힘은 없었다고 말한다. 리자가 혼자 회상하는 두 번째 버전에서는 그녀의 동기가 좀더 복잡하고 모호하며 여자 수감자에 대한 집착적 관계가 드러난다.
