2191년, 지구인류는 역사상 최초로 지구외 지적생명체인 가미라스인과 조우하게 되었으나, 이 조우는 곧바로 우주전쟁으로 발전한다. 압도적인 군사력을 가진 가미라스에 방위함대는 괴멸해버리고, 명왕성에서 발사한 유성폭탄에 폭격당한 지구는 바다가 증발하고 대기가 오염돼 죽음의 행성이 되어버린다. 인류는 지하도시에 대피하지만 지상의 오염이 점점 잦아들기 시작하고, 에너지 부족, 기아, 폭동등의 사태들에 괴로워하고 있었다. 인류멸망까지 딱 1년이 남은 2199년. 오키타 쥬조가 이끄는 UN 우주군 제1함대는 '아마테라스'라는 암호명을 가진 1척의 우주선이 화성에 추락한 한 것을 발견, 잔해에서 캡슐을 회수한다. 캡슐에는 외계행성 이스캔달에서 보내온 메시지와 파동엔진을 만들 수 있는 에너지원 파동 코어가 들어있었다. 이스캔달인은 오염물질을 정화할수 있는 시스템을 받아오길 희망하고 있었다. 인류는 우주전함 야마토에 파동 코어를 장착해 항성간 항해가 가능하도록 개조, 이스캔달에서 오염정화 시스템을 받아오는 '야마토 계획'을 발족한다. 남은 시간은 1년, 오키타 함장과 크루들은 임무를 완수할 수 있을것인가?

전작 `우주전함 야마토 완결편`에서 폭풍 혹성 `아쿠아리우스`에 가라앉은 전함 야마토를 다시 재건해서, 정체불명의 블랙홀로 부터 지구를 지키기 위해 분투한다는 내용. (후속편이 예정되어 있었으나, 원작자 사망 및 개봉 후 혹평 등 복합적 이유로 후속편은 기대하기 힘든 상황. 본 작품 이후 '우주전함 야마토 2199' 가 실질적인 리부트로 평가되고 있음)

The story of Iwaki, a young brawler who becomes a professional criminal when he joins a Yakuza clan.

Odin centers around the novice crew of the laser sailing space schooner Starlight as they embark on an historic interstellar test flight. They are intercepted by what seems to be a wrecked spaceship only to find that it contains a lone survivor; a young woman named Sara Cyanbaker. Unknown to the crew at this time, a mechanized space fleet approaches Earth and a scout vessel from that fleet was responsible for the destruction of Sara's ship.

The Crazy Cats, a Japanese musical-comedy group, were showcased a series of comic adventures throughout the 1960s. Las Vegas Free-For-All, one of their most popular movies, featured scenes filmed on location in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Hawaii. Appearing with the seven Cats were the lovely Mie Hama and such Japanese musical artists as The Peanuts, The Johnnys, The Drifters, and Jackie Yoshikawa & the Blue Comets.

College life starts off great for Michiko. She and her friend join the Italian Culture Research Club that performs canzone, a genre they are both in love with. The only problem is that the club doesn't have enough money to buy instruments for them to play.
