일본의 입찢어진 여자 괴담은 국내로 넘어와 빨간마스크라는 이름을 얻었고, 입에서 입으로 전해지면서 다양한 설정으로 변모하게 되었다. 소문이란 것이 그렇듯 사람의 입을 통하여 전달되기 때문에 전달자의 생각이 추가로 반영되는 경우도 있고, 개중에는 홍콩할매귀신과 빨간마스크를 믹스하여 그녀의 입은 원래 비행기 사고로 찢어지게 되었다는 황당한 소문까지 흘러나오게 되었다. 지금은 지역에 따라서, 좁게는 동네마다 각각 내용이 조금씩 다르게 전해지고 있으니 무엇이 원조인가는 사실상 잘 알 수가 없는데, 다만 어느곳이나 무섭고 흥미롭다는 점이 같으므로 굳이 진짜를 가려낼 필요는 없어 보인다. 무엇보다 애초 사람의 입에서 흘러나온 근거없는 괴담일 뿐이므로 다소 과장되었다 하더라도 단지 하나의 가십거리 정도로 여기면 그 뿐이다.

Oman travel from Shanghai to Japan in search of her mother, only to be betrayed by her companion and sold to a brothel, where she becomes a geisha and gambler.

A portrait of a man trying to become an artist in order to escape from his life as a miserable peasant due to severe annual tribute during the reign of the fifth Tokugawa Shogun Tsunayoshi.

Jun Aisaka seduces one woman after another. His victims were flirtatious married woman Noriko, student Keiko, widow Mitsuko and dancer Rumi. As a result, he ends up in prison, but after escaping with another prisoner, he continues his criminal adventures with a partner. It is clear that this will not end well. Moreover, a couple of detectives are already on the trail of the criminals.

Tsuruoka is a college scienceteacher bent on capturing coeds and torturing them. He's aided by Masayoshi Nogami, who - in keeping with his cinematic reputation - enjoys brutally raping the girls after Tsuruoka snatches them.

A public bath house is the scene of illegal female slave trading operations in 18th century Japan and government spy Shinzo is sent in to expose the ringleaders as well as working to get a law passed eliminating coed bathing.

Masako, the young lady of the family estate, returning from overseas following the death of her diplomat father. She had originally left in opposition to his second marriage to the avaricious Tomoko, who now parades her new lover Goro around the house as if it were her own. When the family lawyer informs the gathered masses that it is Masako who is the legal inheritor of the entire estate, her elder sister Sumie and fiance Shinjiro join Tomoko and Goro in hacking up the unfortunate heiress with an axe. It is not long before the assorted pieces of Masako begin cropping up to drive them all insane, followed by her apparition in the traditional white smock with eyes peering wildly through straggly black hair.

Shirō raids the office of the organization that attacked his lover, wreaking havoc and escaping with a stolen handgun. In retaliation, the organization hires two killers to get rid of Shirō. The duo begin to develop a strange kinship with their target...

Study about a young disturbed man, who rapes and kills women and collects their bodies in a cave. A work based on the case of Yoshio Kodaira, a serial rape murder case shortly after the war.

Yōko is a young woman who is forced into prostitution by a yakuza gang. She repeatedly escapes from the gang, and is repeatedly captured, and repeatedly tortured at length.

A young bonze who has been deceived by a woman becomes a pornographic painter. He proceeds to tie up his models, rape them and kill them.

A hitman focuses on his job hoping to retire quickly and richly. But the betrayal of his clan and those he loves endangers his plan.

The husband of a young wife discovers she has a promiscuous background as a bar hostess. Feeling that his honor has been slighted, he refuses to have intimate relations with her. The woman flees her old-fashioned husband for solace in the arms of a former lover.

While an obscene audio tape is played, a young woman has sex. She becomes obsessed with the recording and can only achieve orgasm if she is listening to it. Complications ensue when her boyfriend becomes troubled by the tape and is unable to perform sexually while it is being played.
