너무나도 순수하고 서툴러서 세상에 적응하지 못하며 살아가는 남자 우콘, 군마의 깊은 산 속에서 수상한 활동가의 매장된 금을 파내는 일을 도우며 일당을 받는 그에게 있어 상냥한 동료 우시야마만이 마음을 열게 하는 존재였다. 어느 날, 우콘과 우시야마는 폐공장에서 낡은 한 대의 로봇을 발견하고 현대 과학으로는 만들 수 없는 매우 고성능의 로봇인 것을 알게 된다.
