2차대전중 나치 치하에서 살아남기 위해 출생을 가장해야 했던 유태인 소년의 실제 있었던 생존기를 치밀하게 그려낸 작품이다. 평범한 소년 솔로몬(마르코 호르슈나이더)은 독일의 유태인 탄압으로 가족과 함께 폴란드로 이주한다. 하지만 독일군이 폴란드까지 밀고 들어오자 솔리와 형만이 안전한 곳으로 피난을 간다. 피난 도중 어린 솔로몬은 형을 놓치고 홀로 남게 된다. 이때부터 솔로몬의 생존을 위한 노력이 시작된다. 소련령 고아원에 들어간 솔로몬은 "스탈린"을 외침으로써 살아남고 독일군에게 잡혔을 때는 독일인으로 위장하여 인정을 받는다. 훌륭한 독일 군인으로 청년나치학교에 보내진 솔로몬은 그 안에서도 두각을 보이는 학생으로 활동한다. 하지만 솔로몬은 유태인이고 유태인을 죽이는 훈련을 거듭하는 나치학생들 속에서 솔로몬은 갈등을 겪게 된다. 그 와중에 연합군과 독일군 전투에 배치된 솔로몬은 연합군에게 항복한다. 연합군이 유태인이라는 솔로몬의 말을 믿어주지 않아 죽게 되었을 때 그곳에서 잃어버렸던 형을 만나 살아남게 된다.

In search for food Rysiek breaks into a villa and discovers a bundle of cash in the freezer. They team together in Warsaw and decide to go on a rampage through the city.

Film based on real events - investigation and court trials of the most famous pre-war Polish murder case. Despite being historically accurate the movie is both involving and entertaining since the case was simple on the surface, but very complicated in details.

(한국시네마테크협의회) 1970년, 대규모의 화학공장을 건설할 장소를 결정 하기 위해 난상토론과 밀실에서의 타협이 이루어지고 장소가 결정된다. 고지식한 당원인 베드나츠가 이 건설의 책임을 맡게 되면서, 좋지 않은 기억으로 남아있는 옛 고향을 다시 찾게 된다. 베드나츠는 옛 고향을 사람들이 평화롭게 어울려 사는 곳으로 만들고 싶어하지만 그의 신념은 마을 사람들의 탐욕스러운 욕구와 충돌하고 결국 포기하게 된다. 기록영화작업을 꾸준히 하던 키에슬로프스키의 첫 장편영화로 좌파 세력의 위선적인 모습을 대단히 미묘하지만 효과적으로 보여준 작품. 키에슬로프스키 감독은 이 영화로 모스크바영화제 대상을 수상하며 `도덕적 불안의 영화` 세대의 지도자로 국내외에서 확실한 주목을 받았다. Westerplatte is a small peninsula at the entry to the Gdansk Harbour. Before World War II, it functioned as a Polish ammunition depot in the Free City of Danzig/Gdansk. Its crew consisted of one infantry company and a group of civilians, 182 people in total. It was the only Polish guard-post at the mouth of the Vistula River, with as little as five sentries, one field cannon, two anti-armour guns and four mortars. It was the first obstacle to Hitler's predatory march across Europe. The first shots of World War II were fired here. This film tells the story of Westerplatte's courageous defenders.
