폴란드의 시인 조피아 보흐다노비초바는 1957년부터 1964년까지 폴란드 작가 유제프 비틀린에게 25통의 편지를 썼다. 전쟁을 피해 북미로 탈출한 두 사람의 이 편지들은 하버드대학교에 ‘MS 슬라빅 7’이라는 분류 번호로 보관돼 있다. 어느 날 한 여성이 이 편지들을 살펴보게 되고, 카메라 밖에 있는 누군가에게 그 내용과 감상을 이야기한다. 과연 이 편지들에는 어떤 내용이 담겨 있을까?
