W.B.N 이란 새로운 라디오 방송국의 개국 첫날에 여러가지 일들이 일어난다. 부부인 페니 핸더슨(Penny Henderson: 메리 스튜어트 매터슨 분)은 WBN에서 방송 보조원과 작가로 일한다. 방송시작 직전에 투자가 킴씨가 방송 대본이 마음에 들지않다며 다시 쓰기를 요구하면서 정신 빠지게 하는 코미디가 시작된다. 방송 10초전에 다음 방송 대본이 도착하거나, 대본이 섞여서 방송 도중에 고치는 등의 헤프닝이 생긴다. 그러는 와중에 방송 전파를 타고 아주 이상한 방해 방송이 나오고 그 직후에 트럼펫을 연주하는 러플이 사망한다. 처음에는 단순사로 알고 사람들은 방송에 전념한다. 그러던 중 방송 감독이 살해된 채로 발견된다. 크리스 형사는 방송국으로 와서 수사를 시작한다. 그러던 중 러플이 독살당했다고 감식 결과가 나온다. 방송국 매니저의 부인인 클라디트(Claudette: 애니타 모리스 분)는 방송국에서 일하는 여러 남자와 불륜적인 관계를 갖었었다. 경찰은 클라디트를 체포한다. 그러나, 방송 중에 계속적인 살인이 일어난다. 방송국 매니저가 사고 같은 살인을 당하고 경찰은 로저(Roger Henderson: 브라이언 벤벤 분)를 살해용의자로 주목하게 되던 중 다시 방해 방송이 나온다. 로저는 방해 방송이 다음 살인의 힌트라고 말하며 힌트를 풀어 나간다. 킴씨는 웃음을 나오게 하는 가스에 질식되어 죽어간다. 사장은 엘리베이터를 타려다 추락사하게 되고 현장에선 로저의 라이터가 발견된다. 크로스 형사는 로저에게 혐의를 굳히며 자백을 요구한다. 로저는 위층 작가실에 증거가 있다며 유인, 탈출한다. 탈출 중에 로저는 WBN 현관 간판에서 아슬아슬하지만 유모가 넘치는 곡예 끝에 안전하게 탈출한다. 로저는 분장을 바꿔가면서 사건을 풀어 나간다. 그리고 로저는 숨어서 알아낸 사실을 극본으로 써서 방송을 내보내면서 진짜 살인자의 윤곽이 들어난다. 빌리(Billy: 스콧 마이클 캠벨 분)는 엉망이 되어 가던 쇼(Show)를 창의력과 재치로 이어나가고

The film centers on Howard F. Howard, an overweight everyman. Engaged to Beverly, the woman of his dreams, Howard has one problem - an overactive fixation with The Three Stooges. Everywhere Howard goes, he sees Moe Howard, Larry Fine and Curly Howard intruding on his life. Determined to overcome his fixation, Howard and Beverly prepare for their wedding. But on his way to the ceremony, Howard descends into Stoogemania and finds himself walking into the city streets with other Stoogemaniacs. His only hope is commitment to the Stooge Hills sanitarium, under the care of a renowned psychologist, until the inmates take over the asylum on graduation day.

When Monica's popularity is decreasing, Pete is able to get Ruth a stint on the program, the result is Monica is fired and Ruth get her job, but Monica takes revenge by revealing Ruth's past. Ruth considers it is best for her to disappear before being arrested, but she has become a star in public opinion. Will she get Pete or will she go to prison again?
