존(John Reilly: 제프리 콤브스 분)은 부인 수잔(Susan Reilly: 바바라 크램프톤 분), 딸 레베카(Rebecca Reilly: 제시카 돌라하이드 분)와 함께 아버지로부터 물려받은 이태리의 한 고성을 방문한다. 하지만 그의 가족은 행복한 웃음을 잃어버린지 오래인데 그것은 그가 가족들을 데리고 차를 몰고가다 트럭과 부딪혀 아들 제이제이(JJ: 알렉산드로 세바스찬 사타 분)가 사망하고 딸 레베카가 실명당한 악몽 같은 과거의 기억 때문이다. 더구나 사고 후 성기피 증세를 보이는 아내 수잔은 고성에 와서도 남편과 방을 같이 쓰는 것을 피한다. 한편, 성의 지하 감옥에는 쇠사슬에 묶여 끔찍한 고문을 당하며 괴물같은 형상으로 변해버린 정체불명의 사내가 신음하고 있는데. 눈이 먼 대신 귀가 민감한 레베카는 성안에 다른 누군가가 있는 것을 감지하고 부모에게 알린다. 처음에 이 사실을 믿지 않던 존도 시간이 지날 수록 성안에 심상치 않은 일이 일어나는 것을 눈치채고 경찰에 신고하지만 아무런 도움을 얻지 못한다. 어느날 밤 존은 부인 수잔에게 사랑을 갈구하지만 수잔은 냉정하게 거절한다. 실의에 빠진 존은 시내의 술집에서 젊은 이태리 여인을 만나게 되고 함께 성의 지하감옥에 들어가 뜨거운 정사에 몰입한다. 그러나 아내를 너무나 사랑하는 존은 도중에 포기하고 그녀를 돌려 보낸다. 그러나 지하 감옥에 숨어서 정사를 지켜보던 반인반수의 괴물이 집으로 돌아가는 이태리 여인을 덮치는데.

Between Naples and Milan there contrast, because the Neapolitans are accustomed to enjoy a quiet life, always based on the "philosophy of pleasure and delay", while the northern Italians are very strict and punctual.

Nico Palmieri is a police inspector who battles a criminal gang terrorising a sleepy Italian town, extorting cash from the local merchants. With the threat of violence, no one dares to act, except for a restaurant owner who is forced by Palmieri to tell the truth. As a result, the owner's young daughter is raped, and the violence continues. Discovering that the gang is associated with drug dealers, Palmieri is forbidden to continue investigating his case by his superior - so he takes matters into his own hands. Palmieri recruits a couple of men who have become victims of the gang and sets out for a bloody revenge.

고물 승용차로 맞부딪히면서 달리는 스톡카 경주의 친구 컫과 벤. 오늘도 경기에서 공동우승, 상품으로 받은 샌드바기는 두 사람이 나누어 갖게 되었다. 이 차로 다음 경주를 나가기로 하고 벤의 공장에서 정비를 하기로 하였다. 근데 이 정비공장은 유원지 앞에 있으며 이 근방은 저항파의 최후의 토지인 것이다. 그래서 건달들이 끊임없이 그들을 몰아내려는 공작을 하고 있었다. 건달들이 선량한 시민들을 폭력으로 몰아내려고 하자 컫과 벤은 깽들의 본거지인 나이트크럽으로 쳐들어간다. 건달들이 화가 나서 쫓아갔으나 되려 당하고 만다. 그 후 다시 완전무장을 한 10명의 건달들이 오토바이를 타고 쳐들어 왔으나 이번에도 당한다. 컫과 벤은 가만히 있지 않고 나이트크럽으로 돌격, 테이블을 부수고 차를 탄 채 계단을 올라가고 드디어 건달들은 항복했다. 유원지도 옛 모습을 되찾고 법석거렸고 그 앞의 광장에는 신품 샌드바기 2대가 달리고 있었다. 컫과 벤에게 각각 1대씩 건달두목이 보낸 것이었다.
