Jim Henson’s Turkey Hollow follows a family who goes on a hunt for a Bigfoot-like creature called the Howling Hoodoo during a visit to the house of their kooky aunt (played by Last Man on Earth’s Mary Steenburgen). The Howling Hoodoo itself is difficult to find, but they come across some other monsters in the woods that they didn’t even know they were looking for.

12살의 개구리 커밋은 늪 밖의 세상을 궁금해한다. 제일 친한 친구들인 크로커와 고글스에게 늪 밖으로 나가보고 싶다고 말한다. 늪 밖으로 나가려는 시도를 하려는 찰나, 크라스맨 박사와 그의 조교 메리는 실험용 개구리를 잡기 위해 늪으로 오게 되고, 커밋과 그의 친구들을 발견한다. 그들에게 잡힐 뻔하지만 악어 아니의 도움으로 위기를 넘긴다. 커밋이 늪 밖으로 나가고 싶다는 심경을 털어놓자 아니는 늪밖에 나가면 광택 나는 괴물이 있으며, 사람들과 말을 해서는 안 된다는 걱정스런 충고를 해준다. 그러던 어느 날, 고글스와 황소개구리가 싸우다가 늪 밖으로 나가게 되고, 지나가던 애완동물가게 주인이 이 둘을 잡아간다. 이를 지켜보던 커밋과 크로커는 친구들을 구하기 위해 늪 밖으로 위험한 여정을 떠나게 되는데...
