작은 마을에서 밤에는 모텔, 낮에는 식당을 운영하는 베스. 가족도 친구도 하나 없이 외롭고 힘들게 살아가고 있다. 어느날, 식당으로 걸어가는 길에 서핑보드를 싣고 질주하는 차를 보게 된다. 무심히 지나쳤던 그 차가 베스의 식당 앞에 도착하고, 극심한 공포와 굶주림으로 불안해 보이는 남자가 식당에 들어선다. 잭 배럿이라는 이 남자에게 아침 식사를 만들어 주고, 이런 저런 말을 걸어보는 베스. 이때 서핑보드를 실은 세 명의 남자가 도착하는데.
Production Design
A struggling architect, being sued for divorce by his wife and struggling with booze and gambling, finds work remodeling a friend's strip club, the Paradise. There he meets a transsexual stripper who is bothered by accurate, but extremely violent visions of future events. The increasingly violent visions start including the architect, who doesn't believe in the prophesy. One who does however is a psychiatrist who is seeing both the stripper and the architect and is sleeping with the ex-wife. He uses the prophecies for his own financial gain. Finally the scenes from the vision move into reality amidst many plot turns.
Production Design
On the premise that his albums will sell better if he is dead, an aging pop-singer fakes his own death. True enough, the money rolls in, but no one can get their hands on it because of the seven year waiting period before a missing person can be declared legally dead. However, a crazed animal rights terrorist, who knows he isn't dead, is trying to kill him, because of the singer's advertisements for fried chicken restaurants. Eventually, it turns out that the singer's manager is paying the terrorist to kill him.
