엄마처럼 수의사가 되고 싶은 마티는 자그마한 시골 마을을 벗어나 대도시로 떠날 생각이다. 하지만 과연 그녀는 미래를 맞이할 준비가 되어있을까? 그녀는 목덜미 제모를 마치고 긴 머리를 말아 올린 채, 드레스를 입고 있는 자신의 모습이 우습기 그지없다. 또래 남자아이들과 오토바이를 타고 채석장 근처를 질주하는 게 훨씬 더 즐겁기 때문이다. 졸업파티에서는 마티의 친구가 같은 학교 여학생을 성추행하는 사건이 벌어진다. 그 여학생이 저항하자, 마티는 오히려 그 여학생의 얼굴에 침을 뱉는다. 부모님의 결혼이 그랬듯, 사랑과 우정, 섹슈얼리티가 개입하자 기존의 인간관계에도 금이 가기 시작한다.

The insurance salesman Vincent Baumann, a cold-blooded careerist and minion of a merciless system, becomes a victim of the very corporations he is representing. Degraded to a henchman he grimly struggles to get back on the job market. He fights to climb the social ladder. In the process he realizes that there are other values than income and success. He decides against his previous ideology and for another human being, for Lisa Sokulowa. They don’t have a future. But they celebrate a small triumph against the dominance of the ruling system.

Three couples in Vienna have children at around the same time. They're all in their mid-30s, successful, cool and live in a popular part of town. As idealistic as they are materialistic, they grow tomatoes on the balcony, drink locally roasted coffee and expensive cocktails and would never buy an electronic device sporting a half-eaten apple. And they're absolutely certain that you can have children without becoming bourgeois. But the reality tells a different story. Between career and kindergarten, Apple and alternative lifestyles, the satire plays cleverly with hipster clichés and mercilessly points up the gap between the old self-image and the new bourgeoisie.

14-year-old MAX goes with his father WOLFGANG (45) and his friends on a camping trip in the woods. The two haven´t seen each other since the separation of the parents a few months ago and experience a weekend of rapprochement with beer, men´s talk and masculinity rites. Soon, however, the actual idyll of the trip becomes more and more frightening and the renewed bond between Max and Wolfgang is put to the test.
