프로 킬러 데커는 언제부터인가 그의 직업에 자신이 없어진다. 그러던 중 제인과 아기를 죽여달라는 요구를 제인의 남편 지직으로부터 받게 되고 내키지는 않았지만 응하게 된다. TV 수리공으로 가장하여 제인의 집에 들어가나 천진한 그녀의 모습에 마음이 약해진 데커는 의뢰를 실행에 옮기지 못하고 오히려 제인에게 연정을 느끼게 된다. 한편 청부 결과를 기다리던 남편 지직은 기다리다 못해 제3의 인물에게 또다시 청부를 의뢰하고 이 사실을 알게된 데커는 지직을 살해하고 만다. 위기의 순간에서 제인을 구해낸 데커는 그녀를 덴버의 친구에게 전송하며 아쉬움을 나누는데...
