A pair of country thieves make friends with a general rising within the imperial army. After the general finds himself falling in love with the beautiful sister of one of the thieves (who is the fiancee of the other) he decides to do whatever it takes to get rid of the competition and have her for himself. An orphan boy seeks revenge upon a villainous kung-fu sect that killed his friends. He chances upon two old kung fu masters who are fighting to determine who's the better fighter; one is a drunk, the other puffs constantly on a pipe. Fei Fei convinces them to teach him kung fu, and then he'll fight using both of their techniques and will discover which is superior. So Fei Fei ends up fighting his way up the ranks of the evil sect with the two old men trailing after him, evaluating the battles and counting how many of their individual moves Fei Fei uses. The final battle with the white-haired master of the sect, using new kung fu moves inspired by dancers in a brothel, is amazingly gymnastic. --Bret Fetzer

The story of Ming Ling Shur, a girl who was raised by apes and thus has a natural ability with monkey kung fu. She also resembles a monkey for most of the film (not really explained why). She grows up and falls for a prince who is really an evil kung fu master, who exploits her abilities for his own gain. Now here's why the film works; Kam Fung does an excellent job as the Ape Girl, being very eccentric at times with the actions of a monkey. Also, we see early performances by Lo Lieh as an assassin, and Chen Sing as the prince.

Two fools learn kung fu from an old master of iron back style. But after getting a beating from the town's hardman they seek out the service of the drunken master to help improve their kung fu skills.

Chung is in charge of an advertising company in Hong Kong. He's about to marry a model Woo. But Chung finds that Woo is cheating on him on her birthday. He's hurt so he goes to Korea for his new commercial. Chung starts to appreciate a Chinese singer Chelsia Chen by watching TV. He invites her to join his commercial shooting and they fall in love with each other. The commercial's successful in Hong Kong and Chelsia becomes a star now. Chung's uncle urges Chung to invite Chelsia to come to Hong Kong and he does so. Woo suddenly comes up and requires to cooperate with Chung again but gets refused. Woo's mad then turns to cooperate with another directo Choi. However, she's not happy with Choi and still wants to go back to Chung.

원나라 중엽 고려국의 고승 지공대사는 무림대회에서 승리하여 중국의 팔문대파의 맹주로서 추대된다. 어느날 낙양성에 서영풍이라는 한 젊은이가 실종된 사학비권을 가지고 나타남으로서 팔대문파의 쟁취전이 벌어진다. 군웅이 난림하여 싸움이 계속될 때 지공대사가 나타나 다시 평화를 찾는다.

신라방 제일의 무역상 용유신이 괴한들에게 습격을 당하여 죽음을 당한다. 그의 아들 용사는 당산 대부호 구소후에게 끌려가 약탈된 물품을 변상치 않으면 목숨을 내놓기로 약속한다. 용사는 아버지의 원수와 빼앗긴 재물을 찾고자 당산 일대를 찾아 헤맨다. 용사는 부친의 원수가 바로 금천 구소후임을 소뇌에게 듣게 되고 소뇌와 합세하여 금천이 있는 대장원을 향해 달려갔다. 마침 금천이 소뇌의 약혼녀 이진 용사의 여동생 사천량과 혼례식을 올리는 순간이었다. 소뇌의 모습을 본 사천량은 그의 품으로 뛰어간다. 금천과 소뇌의 혈전은 마침내 같이 죽음을 당하고 정장염도 소뇌를 돕다가 쓰러진다. 사천량의 슬픔은 한이 없지만 잉태한 소뇌의 아기를 훌륭히 키우기로 다짐하며 청해진으로 돌아온다.

아버지의 원수에게 복수를 하기 위해 소림사에서 무술을 연마하는 벙어리(성룡). 그는 다른 제자들보다 배움의 속도가 느려 쫓겨날 위기에 처한다. 하지만 벙어리는 성실함 하나만으로 '취권'과 '사학팔보'를 배우고, 지하 감옥에 갇혀 있던 늙은 해지에게 음식을 가져다 주면서 소림 권법의 모든 것을 배우기에 이른다. 벙어리는 이렇게 배운 무술을 통해 소림을 떠나는 테스트에서 목인들을 이기고 소림 수제자의 표식을 받으며 해산에 성공한다. 한편, 지하 감옥에 갇혀 있던 해지는 감옥을 탈출한 뒤 복수를 위해 소림사를 공격할 계획을 세운다. 위기에 직면한 소림사는 대책 마련을 위해 벙어리를 다시 불러들이는데...

1940년 일제 지배 하의 대만, 주인공 아룡은 도둑질을 일삼으며 살아가다 우연히 쌍절곤이 든 상자를 발견한다. 아룡은 쌍절곤을 돌려주기 위해 정무관이라는 무술 단체를 찾아가고, 도장의 딸 려아에게 무술을 배울 것을 권유 받지만 거절한다. 얼마 후 정무관은 일본인 오카모도가 이끄는 대화문에 의해 명패가 부서지는 모욕을 당한다. 이를 목격한 아룡은 부서진 명패를 재건한 후 려아에게 본격적으로 무술을 배운다. 한편 정무관이 중국의 독립단체와 관련이 있다는 사실을 알게 된 일본 경찰은 오카모도를 내세워 정무관을 없앨 음모를 꾸민다. 이에 아룡은 도장의 명예를 걸고 오카모도와 맞서 싸우는데...
