크라운 대은하에 존재하는 4개의 항성계(이스터, 웨스터, 사잔드, 노우즈)와 장대궤도를 지닌 스턴트 유성으로 말미암아 구성되는 조커 태양성단이 이 이야기의 주된 무대. 조커 성단에는 지극히 발달하였지만 완만하게 쇠퇴를 시작하고 있는 문명이 있다. 4개의 태양계의 몇 안 되는 행성에서 거주하고 있는 인류는 무수한 국가를 형성했으며, 이 국가들은 세력 확대를 위해 서로 싸우고 있었다. 그 국가간 분쟁의 비장의 카드는 바로 「모터헤드 (MH)」라 불리는 인간형의 거대 로봇. 그리고 과거의 초 문명의 피를 계승받아 초인적인 전투능력을 가졌고, MH를 조종할 수 있는 헤드라이너(사람들에게는 「기사」라고 불린다.)들이며, 또한 그 양자의 중매를 하는 인공생명체「파티마」. 이렇게 2가지이다. 그 조커에서 인류를 훨씬 능가하는 2개의 존재가 만나 연결된다. 한 사람은 혹성 델타·베른의 통치자이며 성단 제일의 미모와 두뇌 그리고 수많은 신기를 가지고있는 「빛의 신」"아마테라스의 미카도"(천조제). 또 한 사람은 광기의 천재과학자 Dr.발란셰가 창조한, 아마테라스와 동등의 힘을 지닌 「초생명체(더블 입실론·휴먼)」"라키시스". 이윽고 그들은 성단 전체를 전쟁의 불꽃에 휘말려들게 하는 대침공을 개시하고, 그러자 인류의 생존과 명예을 건 신과의 싸움이 시작된다.

하네모토 마나미는 델파워 X의 제작자 다쓰에몬 박사의 손녀이다. Getzeru의 군인인 Gernanoids는 은하계 정복 임무의 일환으로 로봇과 젊은 조종사를 파괴하기 위해 나와 있습니다.
