미니 공룡을 키우는 집에서 주인이 여행을 간 동안 공룡이 탈출하는 사건이 일어난다. 이들은 건포도를 좋아하여 창고안의 건포도를 먹다가 건포도 상자에 갇히게 된다. 친구가 없어 외로운 브렌든(Brendan: 케빈 R. 코너스 분)은 기차있는 곳에서 장난을 치다가 화물칸으로 숨어들게 된다. 그곳에서 브렌든은 공룡과 나오미(Naomi: 제니퍼 하티 분)라는 친구를 사귀게 된다. 집에 공룡을 데리고 온 브렌든은 동물 알레르기가 있는 가정부 윈터스 부인(Miss Winters: 베티 액커만 분)과 사사건건 부딪치게 된다. 어느날 우연히 다락방에서 아빠가 어릴 때 갖고 놀던 기차 모형을 발견한 브렌든은 그것을 다시 조립해 아빠 생일 선물로 주려고 한다. 나오미의 도움으로 성공리에 조립을 하지만 윈터스 부인은 이를 방해하고 공룡을 없애려한다. 공룡을 지키려는 브렌든과 나오미 그리고 떠돌이 해충 구제업자까지 가세해 쫓고 쫓기는 일이 벌어지는데...

Ted is a 1970s Venice Beach poet who spends his days drifting along the boardwalk, reciting his poetry to anyone who will listen. His life changes when a bikini-clad beauty named Linda strolls by him. Instantly, Ted believes he's found his "Venus" and becomes obsessed with Linda. He tries to woo her with poetry, obscene phone calls and romantic overtures, all to disastrous effect.
