凌母
이혼 후 새 가정을 꾸린 중년의 신문기자 아캉은 영국 유학을 마치고 돌아오는 딸 아빙을 만나기 위해 전처의 집에 들른다. 하지만 아빙은 버스에서 졸업증명서가 담긴 가방을 잃어버렸고 함께 온 남자친구 아융은 버스기사에게 폭행당했다. 아캉은 경찰서와 병원을 오가며 정의를 요구하지만 현실은 냉정하다. 전처는 새 애인을 사귀며 은근히 아캉을 무시하고, 그와 아융도 서로 거리를 좁히지 못한다. 곧 대도시에 정착할 아빙을 위해선 잃어버린 가방을 찾아야 한다. 아캉은 직접 문제를 해결할 결심으로 암시장에 접근한다.
