해리는 2인조 여자 레슬링팀 ‘캘리포니아 돌스’의 쩨쩨하고 인색한 매니저다. 아이리스와 몰리 두 사람으로 이루어진 ‘캘리포니아 돌스’는 해리와 함께 이 도시에서 저 도시로 떠돌며 시시한 게임을 계속하고 있지만, 언젠가는 프로로 화려하게 데뷔하리라는 꿈을 가지고 있다. 그러던 어느 날 해리가 세계챔피언 ‘톨레도 타이거스’와의 비공식게임을 따온다. 돌스는 그들을 이기지만, 두 번째 게임에서는 보기 좋게 지고 만다. 그러나 돌스의 실력을 인정한 타이거스는 리노에서 열리는 타이틀전에 돌스를 참가시킨다. 마침내 돌스는 결승전에서 타이거스와 일대 접전을 벌이게 되고, 여기에 마피아에게 뇌물을 받은 심판까지 가세하여 게임은 더욱 치열해진다.
