‘타이타닉 레저플렉스’에서 아르바이트를 하는 말라키(루퍼트 그린트)와 그의 절친한 친구 루크(로버트 쉬핸). 어느 날 레저플렉스의 매니저인 데이브의 딸 미쉘(킴벌리 닉슨)을 보게 된 둘은 누가 먼저 미쉘과 잠자리를 갖게 되나 하는 철없고도 위험한 내기를 걸게 된다. 갖은 방법을 동원하여 미쉘의 마음을 사로잡기 위해 노력하는 두 사람. 루크는 16살의 나이와는 어울리지 않는 술과 마약, 담배로 미쉘을 유혹하려 하고, 말라키는 매력있는 나쁜 남자 스타일로 미쉘에게 작업을 건다. 하지만 미쉘은 그들의 바람만큼 쉽게 넘어오지 않고, 오히려 말라키와 루크가 미쉘에게 빠져들게 되는데…

Doug, an aspiring country singer, has spent his life as a loser in a non-descript small town with nobody believing in his heartbreaking voice and talent as a musician. His wife has left him and only his best friend believes in him. But he has one last chance to make it.

The movie starts at the 1998 bomb attack by the Real IRA at Omagh, Northern Ireland. The attack killed 31 people. Michael Gallagher one of the relatives of the victims starts an examination to bring the people responsible to court.

Seeking refuge, compulsive gambler Robert Houston Junior comes home to his estranged father, Robert Senior. Discovering a lapsed compensation claim for asbestosis, Junior resolves to pursue the case, encountering the young, ambitious lawyer Nicola Blyth who tells him he must produce a witness to testify on his father's behalf. Beneath Junior's altruism lies an uncomfortable truth. In debt and on the run from wealthy businessman, John Doran, following a disastrous loss at the poker table, Junior's only hope is to get his hands on his father's settlement. But hope, like luck, is in short supply. As father and son set out to find the witness, suspicion turns to torment as Robert learns of his son's motives and the true cost of Junior's betrayal is revealed.

비극의 발단 - 1972년 1월 31일. 북아일랜드 데리 시의 주민들은 영국정부의 불법억류에 반대하고 시민권을 주장하기 위해 평화적인 행진을 벌이기로 한다. 데리시민권협의회 대표이자 영국의회 하원의원인 아이반 쿠퍼는 IRA의 무력적인 저항방식에 반대하며 평화행진을 주도한다. 그는 비폭력적인 시위만이 그동안의 차별과 억압에서 벗어나 정당한 권리를 되찾을 유일한 방법임을 역설하면서 시민들이 행진에 참가하도록 설득한다. 그러나 행진이 시작되기도 전에, 도시는 불안한 조짐을 보이며 술렁인다. 도시를 봉쇄한 군대와 시민행렬의 대치 - 북아일랜드 지역에서 벌어지는 모든 집회를 불법행위로 규정해온 영국정부는 이번 행진도 잠재적인 폭력사태로 간주, 폭도진압을 위해 공수부대를 포함한 대규모의 군대를 배치하여 데리 시를 봉쇄해버린다. 진압군 총사령관 포드 장군은 처음부터 평화시위 자체를 부정하며 시위 중 당연히 발생할 것으로 확신하는 무력행위에 병사들이 즉각 반격하도록 지시한다. 약간의 자극만으로도 폭발해버릴 듯한 초 긴장 상태에서, 아이반은 충돌을 막기 위해 계획했던 행진루트를 변경하는 등 동분서주하는데... 행진에 참가한 일부 청년들이 대열에서 이탈하여 돌을 던지며 흥분하기 시작하면서 점차 상황은 통제불가능한 사태로 발전하는데. 공수부대의 과잉진압과 무고한 시민의 희생 - 영국군은 청년들이 과격해진다는 것을 빌미로 공수부대까지 투입하며 진압에 나선다. 이 과정에서 대대간의 연락이 엉키고 명령은 전달될수록 왜곡되어 고무탄과 가스수류탄은 곧 진짜 총알로 대체된다. 결국 공수부대의 무차별 총격으로 노인과 부녀자를 포함해 13명이 숨지고 14명이 부상당하는 참사가 벌어진다. 고요하고 평화롭던 도시 데리는 순식간에 피로 물들고 유족들의 눈물바다로 변한다.

Unimpressive, 24-year-old virgin, Eamonn (Kris Marshall) lives in Belfast with his mother, during the Troubles. Local girl, Mary Malloy (Tara O'Neil) decides that since she has probably slept with every man in town Eamonn should be next on her list. He proves to be quite a catch... and Mary gets pregnant even though she took precautions. A doctor discovers that Eamonn has a very high sperm count and, with the birth rate in Ireland decreasing, Millicent (Bronagh Gallagher) decides to hire out Eamonn to women whose husbands have been firing blanks; all with the blessing of the local Catholic church which sees it as morally better than artificial means.

Comedy drama about the trials and tribulations of three sets of parents as they finally realise that their children have grown up and reluctantly they have to let them enroll at Cambridge University.
