거리의 여자였던 엔젤은 과거의 생활을 청산하고 뉴욕에서 사진사로 일하고 있다. 그러던 어느 날, 화려한 갤러리를 취재하던 중 낯익은 얼굴과 마주치고 그 사람이 자신을 버린 어머니임을 알게 된다. 과거의 수수께끼를 풀기로 한 결심한 엔젤은 LA에서 어머니를 만나는 것은 성공했으나 그녀로부터 여동생이 위험에 처해 있음을 듣는다. 그리고 어머니마저 살해된 후 엔젤은 마지막 남은 가족인 여동생을 찾기 위해 다시 거리의 여자로 나선다. 우연히 많은 여자들을 거느리고 있는 나딘이라는 사람을 알게 된 엔젤은 나딘의 인신매매 조직을 소탕하길 마음을 먹고 스판키, 닐과 함께 계획에 착수한다.
