1942년 2차 대전이 한창 진행되던 무렵 독일은 원자탄 제조계획을 세우고 원자폭탄의 필수 재료인 중수를 생산했던 노르웨이가 독일군에 점령당하게 된다. 원자탄 제조에 필요한 중수공장을 노르웨이의 산간지역에 세우게 되고 이에 연합군은 큰 위기를 맞게 된다. 독일군의 원자폭탄 제조를 막고자 연합군은 노르웨이 중수 공장을 폭격기로 계획을 세우지만 험난한 지형 때문에 공습이 쉽지 않다. 영국 정보부는 공장의 파괴공작을 세우고 우선 특수요원을 침투시켜가 공장 폭파에 필요한 정보를 수집하게 한다. 결국 오슬로 대학 교수 롤프와 저항 조직원 크누트를 비롯한 노르웨이 출신 특공대원을 급파하여 레지스탕스와 접촉하고, 이들의 도움으로 공장으로 침투하여 공장 내를 살피고 영국군 특공대가 도착하길 기다린다. 이윽고 영국군 특공대가 도착하고, 이들은 폭탄을 장치 중 독일군에게 발각되어 치열한 총격전을 벌인다. 결국 공장은 폭파되고 독일군의 중수생산은 무위로 돌아간다. 그러나 기쁨도 잠시 독일군은 베를린 연구소에서 중수를 다시 가져오고 경계를 더욱 더 철저히 하는데...

White Corridors was based on Yeoman Hospital, a novel by Helen Ashton. Told episodically, the story concentrates on the day-to-day activities in a busy hospital, where research pathologist Neil Marriner (James Donald) conducts experiments in the hopes of curing diseases impervious to penicillin. Marriner is aided in this endeavor by lady surgeon Dr. Sophie Dean (Googie Withers), who happens to be in love with him. After a tragedy occurs for which Marriner holds himself responsible, the film builds steadily to an exciting climax involving a untested -- and potentially dangerous -- serum. The top-rank British supporting cast includes Barry Jones, Moira Lister, Petula Clark, Basil Radford, Dagmar (later Dana) Wynter, Bernard Lee, and, in a minor role, future "Dr. Who" Patrick Troughton.

Passengers and crew struggle to survive after their plane crashes in the Alps.

A young German girl marries an Englishman and moves into his family's household during the last days of World War II. The family and community have conflicting feelings about her presence in the community, and as a result, the family is forced to face their own moral code as they deal with their own prejudices and fears about the seemingly innocent German girl. The war ends, and she finally seems to be accepted into the family and community when her Nazi brother shows up to create havoc.

During the last half of the 19th century writer Richard Darrell saves Don Carlos from two robbers, and is entrusted by Don Carlos to take a valuable necklace to Spain. Richard leaves his fiancé, Oriana, and starts the trip. He meets Wycroft, a henchman for Sir Francis Castteldow, an aristocrat out to steal Oriana from Richard. The latter is assaulted, robbed and nearly killed and, as a result, loses his memory. He marries a gypsy girl, Rosal, while Oriana, thinking him dead marries the dastardly Sir Francis. Everybody will meet again. Complications will arise.

While Lady Christabel Beauclark, a bird fancier, is scurrying about demanding certain territorial rights for British birds from other countries, Her Ladyship's niece is falling in love with the family butler, Tom Gilbey. David Charleston, once a world renowned journalist, now lives alone maintaining the Thunder Rock lighthouse in Lake Michigan. He doesn't cash his paychecks and has no contact other than the monthly inspector's visit. When alone, he imagines conversations with those who died when a 19th century packet ship with some 60 passengers sank. He imagines their lives, their problems, their fears and their hopes. In one of these conversations, he recalls his own efforts in the 1930s when he desperately tried to convince first his editors, and later the public, of the dangers of fascism and the inevitability of war. Few would listen. One of the passengers, a spinster, tells her story of seeking independence from a world dominated by men. There's also the case of a doctor who is banished for using unacceptable methods. David has given up on life, but the imaginary passengers give him hope for the future.
