Johannes, a doctor of physics, travels with his doctoral supervisor to a scientific congress in the Alps. A series of mysterious incidents occur on site. He meets Karin, a mysterious jazz pianist who seems to know more about him than she can know. Suddenly, mysterious deaths begin to pile up and Johannes tries to uncover the secret under the mountain.

군사 점령이란 무엇인가? 아비 모그라비 감독은 군사 점령에 참여했던 군인들의 증언을 경유하여 식민주의적 점령의 작동 방식에 대한 통찰을 보여 준다. 54년간 이스라엘이 자행한 팔레스타인의 웨스트 뱅크와 가자 지구 영토 점령을 통해, 감독은 군사 점령의 매뉴얼을 그려 나간다.

영화는 19세기 말에서 20세기에 이르기까지 붕괴한 가정의 전기적인 흔적들을 모아 담으며, 우연히 만나게 된 사람들이 이내 서로를 놓쳐 버리고 마는 양상에 관해 논한다. 현재는 그 다음 세대의 후손들이 사라져 가고 있는 상황이다. 결국 이것은 대화와 침묵, 첫사랑과 행복의 상실에 관한 이야기다.

초당 96프레임의 카메라로 촬영한 "아쿠아렐라"는 물의 변형적인 아름다움과 날 것의 힘 속으로 관객들을 깊숙이 인도한다. 이 작품은 물의 변덕스러운 의지 앞에서 무력할 수밖에 없는 인류의 깨달음을 보여준다. 물을 주인공으로 한 이 여정에서 감독인 빅토르 코사코프스키는 꽁꽁 언 러시아 바이칼 호수부터 마이애미, 허리케인 일마가 덮친 플로리다, 베네수엘라의 앙헬 폭포에 이르는 과정을 통해 물의 다양한 모습을 놀랍도록 아름답게 포착한다.

Filled with vitality, humor and unexpected situations, Hamada paints an unusual portrait of a group of young friends living in a refugee camp in the middle of nowhere. Western Sahara is known as “the last colony in Africa” and this conflict is the longest and one of the least known ongoing disputes in the continent, but the Sahrawi people refuse to become invisible.

The “Film about the Father” is a difficult genre. Andreas Goldstein, son of the GDR cultural functionary Klaus Gysi (1912–1999) has tackled this task with a complete lack of vanity, but with insistence: measured and calm, honest and intellectual, analytical and personal. 전쟁으로 분열된 우크라이나 동부 돈바스 지역의 전쟁과 분열 상황을 희화한 작품. 는 연결되지 않는 파편적 장소와 에피소드들로 우크라이나의 현주소를 드러낸다. 거리, 회의장, 산부인과, 검문소, 버스, 사무실 등 다양한 공간에서 사람들은 돌출 행동을 한다. 관습과 편견 나아가 전형성을 기반으로 하는 동시에 뒤트는 이 영화는 마치 한바탕 소동극을 보는 것처럼 인물들의 부조리한 행동에 주목한다. 그리고 행위가 일어나는 공간을 지속적으로 의심하게 한다. 영화 속 공간이 모두 연극의 무대 공간 같기 때문이다. 전체를 관통하는 내러티브 없이 개별 인물들의 말과 행위를 나열하듯 풀어내던 영화는 점차 왜곡되고 부패한 사회를 마주하게 한다. 규칙도, 인권도, 신뢰도 무너진 사회에서 분열은 계속된다. 극의 마지막 장면은 지금까지의 소동들에 대한 또 다른 층위를 만들어낸다. 시작과 끝 사이에 일어난 다양한 상황에 대한 새로운 독해를 불러오는 놀라운 통증의 순간이다.

Kos (13) is going through the most bizarre period in his life. His mother died a few years ago and his dad is having a heart attack. While Kos’ father is in the hospital, it looks like the hotel he is running will be a big mess. But Kos and his three sisters do not intend to let that happen. After the siblings find out that father is deep in financial problems, the hotel is threatened with closure. The children however come up with a solution: someone has to win the local beauty pageant, with a hefty cash prize attached.

Art, politics and motorcycles - on the occasion of his 90th birthday John Berger or the Art of Looking is an intimate portrait of the writer and art critic whose ground-breaking work on seeing has shaped our understanding of the concept for over five decades. The film explores how paintings become narratives and stories turn into images, and rarely does anybody demonstrate this as poignantly as Berger.

It is a story about the Soviet worker Pyotr and the German engineer Hans, who came to the USSR before the war on a business trip. At a Soviet plant the German team works in cooperation with Russian specialists. Once Hans makes a mistake which causes the explosion of the furnace and human losses. Hans finds himself at the mercy of Pyotr, the only witness to his actions near the furnace. Pyotr also depends on Hans, because Pyotr’s very presence near the furnace entails accusation of subversive actions and a death sentence. Mutual suspicion gives way to silent sympathy and later friendship. They even look like each other, both have small children. Pyotr secretly leaves the town with his family but Hans feels loss rather that relief at the disappearance of the embarrassing witness.

As brutal images of violence and alienation cross the screen, Georgy’s odyssey becomes darker and more desperate until it reaches an unexpected conclusion.
