모든 확신에는 증거가 필요하다. 도난 사건이 빈번한 학교에 새로 부임한 신임 교사 ‘카를라’. 자기가 가르치는 이민자 아이가 범인으로 몰려 문제가 생기고, 그 와중에 교무실에서 동료 교사의 부정 행위를 목격하게 되면서 스스로 해결책을 찾고자 노트북 카메라를 켜 둔 채 지갑을 옷에 두고 수업에 들어간다. 예상대로 지갑의 돈이 사라지고 카메라에는 돈을 가져간 사람의 블라우스가 찍혀 있었다. 하지만 잘못된 것을 바로 잡으려고 했던 일들은 오히려 카를라가 숨 쉴 수 없을 정도의 더 큰 시련으로 조여오기 시작하는데…

Although he already has searched Iraq unsuccessfully for weapons of mass destruction as a member of a UN mission, German bio-weapons expert Arndt Wolf is still obsessed with the idea that Saddam Hussein is hiding something. Nobody around him is interested in this topic any more. This changes abruptly when an Iraqi asylum seeker claims to have been involved in the manufacture of chemical weapons. The German Federal Intelligence Service summons Dr. Wolf to ascertain the legitimacy of the claims made by the informant, who has been given the code name “Curveball”.

District Administrator Hans Schuierer from the Upper Palatinate first opposed his own political line in 1981 and finally against the entire Bavarian Free State and Prime Minister Strauss. Because the planned reprocessing plant Wackersdorf promised 3,000 new jobs for the structurally weak region - but what if these are associated with massive health and ecological damage for future generations? Isn't it then the duty of a politician and citizen to resist?
