검사 아버지를 둔 매력적인 인텔리 트렌트는 콘서트를 기획하다가 실패해 갱 두목인 투자자 버나드한테 거금을 빚지게 되고 곤경에 처하게 된다. 이때 빅토리안 클럽 사장인 키리아가 나타나 그의 빚을 대신 갚아주고 트렌트는 이에 대한 감사의 표시로 그녀를 위해 어떤 일이든 하겠다고 약속한다. 하지만 그가 할 일은 다름 아닌 외로운 여자 고객들을 상대하는 것으로 매춘을 하는 것이다. 트렌트는 고급 매춘남으로 변신하고 키리아와도 가까워지는데 그 즈음 알게 된 동료 레나에게 동정심을 느끼고 동정은 점점 사랑으로 변한다. 한편 버나드와 트렌트의 동료인 티모시와 레이븐이 살해되는 사건이 발생하자 형사들은 트렌트를 찾아와 트렌트의 아버지한테 알리겠다고 협박하며 키리아의 고객 명부를 빼내라고 요구한다. 갈등하던 트렌트는 키리아에게 구타당한 레나를 보고 경찰을 돕기로 결정하는데 명부를 훔치러 갔다가 결국 키리아에게 들켜 죽을 고비를 맞는다. 하지만 결정적인 순간 레나가 나타나 키리아를 총으로 쏘고 모든 일은 종결된다. 시간이 지나 성공적인 기획자가 된 트렌트는 레나의 그림 전시회를 기획하는데 전시회에 온 모든 사람들이 자신의 동료들과 고객들이란 걸 알게 되고 레나가 키리아의 사업을 빼앗기 위해 술수를 부린 것이란 걸 깨닫는다. 하지만 고객 중 자신의 아버지가 있다는 사실을 알게 되고 망연자실한다.
