This special showcases Chris Isaak s most beloved hits and his personal tribute to the glory days of the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis and the music created by Chris heroes in that famous room. Chris recaptures the heart and soul of the original songs with his own brilliant band of stellar musicians, while showing the heart and soul of his own deeply rooted musical identity. The show was taped before a live audience of music fans on the soundstage of Austin City Limits, the home of the legendary PBS music series.

The singer-songwriter performs with his band in two concerts broadcast in 2003 and 2005 as part of the Soundstage series jointly produced by WTTW, the PBS station in Chicago, and HD Ready.

With emotion-filled twang and matinee idol looks, singer, songwriter and actor Chris Isaak croons 15 of his greatest hits, including "Wicked Game," for an enthusiastic crowd in this concert recorded live for the PBS series "Soundstage." Isaak also offers a compelling rendition of "Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing," plus more of his unforgettable melodies and heartfelt lyrics in an engaging six-song acoustic set.

Taped at the Soundstage studio this September, in Chicago, Chris and his long-time band perform some of his childhood favorites such as "Mele Kalikimaka" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" in addition to classic holiday standards ranging from "White Christmas" to "Chestnuts." Isaak also includes some holiday originals such as "Washington Square" and "Hey Santa." Other songs performed are "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "Blue Christmas," "Let it Snow" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas" to name a few. Joining Chris on a number of duets will be Michael Buble, Brian McKnight, and Stevie Nicks.
