A human drama based on the true story of Satoshi Fukushima, a professor at the University of Tokyo's Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, who became the world's first deafblind university professor, and his mother, Reiko. Reiko lives with her teacher husband and three sons in a town in the Kansai region. The youngest son, Satoshi, who lost his sight when he was a child, grew up with a naivete surrounded by the love of his family and went to high school at a school for the blind in Tokyo, but at the age of 18 he also lost his hearing. Wracked by loneliness in a world of darkness and silence, Satoshi was given hope by Reiko's new means of communication, "finger Braille," which she devised based on her daily life with him. Mother and son courageously overcome difficulties one by one and open up new possibilities in their lives.

189 is a phone number to call when a child needs to be saved from an abusive situation. 1985년에 결성되어 1995년 해체된 일본의 펑크록 밴드 ‘더 블루 하츠’의 음악에서 영감을 받아 만든 6편의 단편을 옴니버스로 묶은 작품이다. 밴드 ‘더 블루 하츠’는 데뷔 음반이 2007년 일본 [롤링 스톤]지가 뽑은 ‘일본 록의 100대 앨범’ 중 3위를 차지할 정도로 많은 인기를 얻었다. 이상일 감독을 비롯한 6명의 감독들이 ‘더 블루 하츠’의 음악을 바탕으로 옴니버스 영화를 완성했다.

“슬픔”과 “후회”를 없애기 위해 우리들은 과거를 다시 시작한다. 주민의 절반이 특수한 능력을 가진 마을 “사쿠라다”. 주민들의 힘은 마을의 공적 기관 “관리국”에 의해 신중히 감시 제어되고 있다. 아사이 케이는 「기억유지」능력을 가진 고등학생이고 케이의 친구, 하루키 미소라는 세계를 최대 3일 전까지 되돌리는 「리셋」능력을 가지고 있다. 「리셋」을 하면 하루키는 자신의 기억도 전부 잊게 되지만, 케이의 「기억」은 절대로 「리셋」되지 않아 두 사람이 함께 능력을 쓰면 세계를 최대 3일 전까지 다시 시작할 수 있다. 하지만 그런 케이와 하루키에게도 돌이킬 수 없는 “과거”가 있었다. 그것은 2년　전, 「리셋」의 영향으로 죽은 동급생, 소마 스미레에 관한 것이었는데. Kinjiro, an official with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, is a good-natured fellow who goes around the country helping farm families. At his new appointment in Usuki City, Oita Prefecture, he visits a tea-growing family he has known for a long time. There, he finds the family head's granddaughter Minori, who lost her job in Tokyo and has just returned home.

Based on a true story, "Sunshine Ahead" tells the story of environmentalist Koji Kinjo & his wife who embarks on a ambitious plan to create coral reefs in the sea. Although it takes the couple 10 years to finally succeed, they are able to persevere and become the first persons to ever spawn coral reefs.

Hanako is a mother, who was not enthusiastic when her husband took in two foster children some years ago. He died not long afterward, leaving her alone to care for the youngsters, Koya and Torataro, a task that she rose to with a passion. As the two boys graduate from high school, Hanako has become not only a devoted parent but the neighborhood's most reliable mother in the Osaka style: strong, responsible, irreverent. After the two boys leave school they also leave home, though Torataro continues to work in the family factory. Koya secures employment at a restaurant, where he is forced to put up with the bullying of an older colleague. Unable to take it any more, he runs away, and Hanako and Torataro look for him. They eventually find him pursuing his dream of becoming a professional musician.

Hana, 21-year old, is sent to a mental hospital for attempting a suicide. She suffers from hearing a deep male voice in her head almost everyday that goes, "Twenty yards of linen are worth one coat..." She gradually regains her peace of mind by traveling across Kyushu dragging with her Nagoyan, a guy from Nagoya who is suffering from depression. They take on their journey on Nagoyan's old faithful car, Luce.

Thirteen years afterward, I wonder if those who bombed Hiroshima are looking at me and saying: 'We did it! We were able to kill another person!' They should be," murmurs Minami (played by Kumiko Aso), one of the two leading female characters in Yunagi no Machi, Sakura no Kuni, as she lies dying in 1958, her life brought to a premature end by sickness resulting from her exposure to atomic bomb radiation. This is a story about those who at least initially survived the first U.S. atomic bombing of 1945 and their descendants in contemporary times. The film, based on a comic by Fumiyo Kono, jumps between the two time frames and quietly depicts the sorrow and mortification experienced through the everyday lives of laid-back and soft-spoken Hiroshima people. Only a few scenes of the bombing and the ensuing devastation are featured.

아동 심리 치료사를 목표로 유치원 선생님으로 일하고 있는 쿄코(미무라 分)는 서로의 일 때문에 자주 만나지 못한 남자친구 나오토(요시자와 유 分)가 아르바이트하는 식당에 들르게 된다. 식당에선 어디선가 들은 것 같은 낯익은 전화 벨소리가 계속 울리고 식당 주인은 딸의 휴대폰을 대신 받기에 이른다. 놀랍게도 전화를 건 사람은 전화기의 주인인 메이퐁! 전화 속 메이퐁은 뜻 모를 기름 솥 얘기를 하다 끊어버렸고, 이날 밤 메이퐁의 아버지 완상은 온 몸에 기름 화상을 입은 채 시체로 발견된다.

Working long hours in the emergency room, nurse Kana Aoshima befriends musician and frequent hospital patient Shogo Amami. Shogo's therapy visits for his muteness and blindness happen to frequently coincide with Kana's shift, which enables the nurse to get to know the handsome artist well enough to start falling in love with him. Fate intercedes, however, when Shogo is killed after being hit by a car - a development that utterly crushes Kana's will to live. Shogo's spirit is transported to heaven, where it is given the chance to return to Earth to assist Kana through her grieving and to renew her sense of faith in the world - with the only caveat being he cannot reveal his identity to Kana.

Junko was born with a type of ESP called pyrokinesis which she can use to incinerate anyone and anything at will. Junko is secretly in love with Kazuki, a young man who works with her. His sister is killed and a boy named Masaki suspected but the police don't arrest him. Junko tells Kazuki about her powers and takes revenge.
