Tony took the last name of Fields from his stepfather Max. Tony's parents divorced when he was four. Although he was born in Stafford, Kansas, he moved to Davis, California, where his career began in gymnastics. He switched to dance training when he won scholarships to the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (studying drama and voice), and also at Roland Dupree Academy of Dance. He began touring with Debbie Reynolds in her nightclub act only 3 months after starting at Dupree. When he came to Solid Gold, he had had only 2 years of formal training. Tony appeared in numerous music videos, including Michael Jackson's "Beat It" and "Thriller" and was also featured in the "Making of Thriller" special. He also appeared in Lionel Richie's "Running with the Night." As a Solid Gold dancer, he also appeared on the Miss Teen USA pageant as an escort and entertainer, and on the home exercise video "The Solid Gold 5 Day Workout." Other early TV appearances included "Lil Abner," "Bobby Vinton Rock and Rollers," and "The John Davidson Christmas Special."

Backstreet Dreams is the story of a man, who has a disturbed child. He and his wife take their son to a clinic, where he is diagnosed by a talented psychologist (Stevie), as being autistic. After catching his unfaithful wife with another man, Dean tells Lucy to leave, and is faced with the task of raising Shane on his own. Stevie believes that she can improve Shane's condition, going back to Dean's apartment and later convincing him that he can provide a better world for his son. Angelo, who lives in the same apartment building and is like a father to Dean, urges on the relationship, sensing that Stevie is luring Dean away from backstreet dealings, and giving him courage to face life in a positive way. Together, they build a foundation for a better life outside of the violence and danger of the backstreets where they live.

Moon

Blue-collar worker Vince stumbles into a dance school, where he quickly becomes entranced by the music. Miss McKenzie, the school's manager and former owner, is about to throw him out on his ear when Moon, the school's rebellious new jazz instructor, vouches for him. Although the school's new owner has insisted on bringing in Moon as a teacher, Miss McKenzie absolutely hates him and the influence of his mordern music, and will stop at nothing to see him (and Vince) thrown out for good.

Eddie Weinbauer, a metalhead teen who is bullied at school, looks to his heavy metal superstar idol, Sammi Curr, for guidance. When Curr is killed in a hotel fire, Eddie becomes the recipient of the only copy of Curr's unreleased album, which, when played backwards, brings Sammi back to life. As Halloween approaches, Eddie begins to realize that this isn't only rock 'n roll...it's life and death.

스타가 되기 위해 브로드웨이 코러스 다원 모집에 모인 수많은 무용가와 가수들. 코러스 라인의 안무가 자크에게 오디션을 받기 위해 모여든 젊은이들은 거듭되는 테스트를 거치면서 무더기로 떨어져 나가고 수 백 명 중에서 마지막 남은 20여 명은 각자가 자기의 꿈과 인생 역정과 생각을 무대에서 이야기하라는 지시를 받는다. 후보자들이 출생지, 어린 시절, 무용수에의 꿈, 사랑의 경험 등을 이야기하는 동안 자크의 연인이며 오랜동안 뮤지컬 스타였던 캐시가 무일푼이 되어 코러스 일자리라도 얻기 위해 돌아온다. 자크와 무대 감독 래리는 무용 실력이 출중하여 코러스 속에서 튀기 때문에 안된다고 하나, 할리우드에 진출하려고 자크를 떠나던 것은, 캐시가 그에 대한 사랑 때문에 관심을 끌기 위해서였다는 것을 알고 단원으로 받아준다.
