É com grande alegria que a direção nacional da Associação Brasileira de Ensino e Pesquisa em Serviço Social (ABEPSS) em conjunto com os diretores do documentário “ABEPSS 70 anos” apresentam ao público esse filme. Esse documentário é uma realização da ABEPSS com o apoio do CFESS, em produção do TV ABEPSS. Retrata a trajetória dos 70 anos da ABEPSS por meio dos depoimentos dos sujeitos que construíram com afinco essa associação. O documentário trata dos acontecimentos históricos, da virada crítica da profissão, das convenções da ABESS que marcaram essa virada nos anos de 70 e 80, e da construção coletiva que essa entidade vem realizando nas últimas décadas. O filme é também uma homenagem a esses sujeitos e, tantos outros, que dedicaram sua militância na formação profissional crítica e de qualidade no Serviço Social. Assujeitar as questões é uma narrativa perfeita ao neoliberalismo, que quanto mais individualiza questões de saúde mental, mais as despolitizam. Assim como há um retrocesso negacionista em várias camadas do nosso tecido social, a luta antimanicomial enfrenta uma hegemonia farmacológica interessada em clientes e não em pacientes.
