Na Palestina do ano 1 d.C., três reis magos trazem presentes à mãe de Brian, confundindo-o com Jesus que nasceu no mesmo dia, na manjedoura ao lado. Brian, depois de crescido, engaja-se em um dos muitos grupos revolucionários que se opõem ao domínio romano. Após tentar seqüestrar a mulher de Pôncio Pilatos com seu grupo, ele é visto como Messias pela uma multidão, ávida por lideranças religiosas.

Para que a rainha Taramis cumpra a promessa de trazer a amada de Conan do mundo dos mortos, ele terá de cumprir uma perigosa missão da qual faz parte a princesa Jehnna. Mas o que ele desconhece é que Taramis ordenou que, cumprida a missão, Conan seja morto, e a princesa seja encaminhada de voltar para ser sacrificada ao diabólico deus Dagoth.

This film is one of the most popular pictures of Slovak cinema and relates the story about the legendary folk hero and brigand Juro Jánošík [1688-1713] and the social situation in Slovakia of the late 17th and early 18th centuries. The first part talks about Jánošík's childhood, studies and return to his native village. In the second part Jánošík leaves for the hills, where he organizes his band of brigands and starts an anti-feudal resistance. The film concludes with Jánošík's execution.
