Em 1870 é enviado ao Japão o capitão Nathan Algren, um conceituado militar norte-americano. A missão de Algren é treinar as tropas do imperador Meiji, para que elas possam eliminar os últimos samurais que ainda vivem na região. Porém, após ser capturado pelo inimigo, Algren aprende com Katsumoto o código de honra dos samurais e passa a ficar em dúvida sobre que lado apoiar.

Lyon Gaultier abandona a Legião Estrangeira no Norte da África quando recebe a notícia da morte de seu irmão em Los Angeles. Depois de conseguir escapar de dois legionários enviados para trazê-lo de volta, Lyon está determinado a encontrar o assassino de seu irmão. Para isso, ele mergulha no submundo do circuito das lutas de rua para conseguir dinheiro e ajudar a família de seu irmão.

Em 1926, um grupo de arqueólogos descobre um túmulo na cidade perdida de Hamunaptra. Um dos membros da equipa lê um manuscrito encontrado no local, trazendo Imhotep de volta à vida, com toda a sua sede de vingança e arrastando consigo as dez pragas do Egipto.

Em um campo de treinamento da Legião Francesa, no nordeste da costa africana, vemos a história de devoção do sargento Galoup ao enigmático comandante Bruno. Enquanto tentar entender seus conflituosos sentimentos, Galoup tem sua vida virada de cabeça para baixo com a chegada do novo recruta Guilles Sentain.

Michael "Beau" Geste deixa a Inglaterra depois de acontecimentos que o deixaram frustrado, e se junta a infame Legião Estrangeira Francesa. Lá, ele se reúne com seus dois irmãos no norte da África, onde enfrentam mais perigo com seu comandante sádico do que com os árabes rebeldes.

This Dogville short takes place at an outpost in the Dogville Foreign Legion. As the story opens, the soldiers watch a newsreel, which includes the opera singer Galli Cur (a spoof of Amelita Galli-Curci) sing an aria. After the show, they go to the local bar and tell each other the stories behind the reason they joined the legion. All the stories are about how women did them wrong in one way or another. They all agree that they are fed up with women, until a certain visitor shows up.

In this romance, a jilted lawyer joins the French Foreign Legion to help him forget his faithless love. While in the desert he espies a village beauty who is the exact double of his true-love.

Based on The Hand and the Flower, a novel by Jerrard Tickell, A Day to Remember stars Stanley Holloway as Charley Porter, captain of London darts team. When the team travels to the French town of Boulogne for the annual darts tournament, a good time is had by all--and more besides. Jim Carver one of the team's members, is reunited with a little French girl he'd befriended during the war, who has now developed into a beautiful young woman. And Fred Collins makes a poignant journey to the hotel where he'd honeymooned with his late wife. The film works best as a low-key comedy-drama; it is least successful when it ventures into O.
