Sinopse
No Velho Oeste John Russell é um branco que foi criado pelos apaches. Repentinamente ele fica sabendo que seu pai morreu e lhe deixou uma pensão, que é administrada por Jessie. Ao tomar posse de sua propriedade John avisa Jessie que planeja vender a propriedade, pois não se sente muito à vontade no mundo dos brancos. De repente no lugarejo aparece um ricaço, Favor, acompanhado por sua esposa Audra, que estão com tanta pressa de viajar que concordam em comprar até os cavalos e o que for necessário. Quatro outras pessoas acabam viajando com o casal, entre elas está Russell, mas durante a primeira etapa da viagem ele comenta que já comeu cachorro e viveu em uma reserva apache. Assim na primeira parada Favor se dirige ao cocheiro Mendez, exigindo que Russell viaje na parte de cima da diligência e não na cabine, pois sua presença incomodava Audra.
