La bonne dame de Nancy (2016)

Clássico musical ambientado no coração do Pacífico Sul e com pano de fundo na Segunda Guerra Mundial. É a história de amor de uma jovem e ingênua enfermeira da Marinha (Mitzi Gaynor) e de um não tão jovem fazendeiro francês (Rossano Brazzi), que se conhecem em uma ilha ocupada pelos norte-americanos. Um jovem soldado (John Kerr) e uma bela garota nativa (France Nuyen) também se apaixonam. Ray Walston, no papel de um marinheiro que vive aprontando tramóias, e Juanita Hall, como a rainha nativa do mercado negro, completam o elenco. In a mansion block in Knightsbridge, a gang of middle-aged biddies decide to brighten up "the dullness of the tea time of life" by staging a series of robberies on furriers, then donating the proceeds to charitable concerns. Terry Thomas as a retired army officer leads the gang, which includes Athene Seyler and Hattie Jacques, on a series of capers that nearly go awry when their maid, Billie Whitelaw, an ex-con and also a resident of the block, falls for a police officer.

"La Bella Lola" is a struggling singer trying to make a living for herself and her sister Ana in late 19th Century Spain. Lola is having an affair with Gabriel, a rich and influential older man who gives her jewelry and supports her singing career. Things change rapidly when Lola meets and falls in love with young playboy Javier, although the romance is doomed from the start. Javier belongs to an aristocratic family and has a bright future as a politician.
