Sinopse
In the kingdom of Letonia, the young prince Égon spends his nights playing the drums. During the day, he only has one thing on his mind: finding Sleeping Beauty in the kingdom of Kentz and breaking the spell over her. But his father, the king, doesn’t believe in fairy tales, and is completely opposed to Égon’s dream. It’s Maggie Jerkins, an archeologist from Unesco, who will provide Egon with the opportunity to follow his heart.
Motivada por vingança e o desejo feroz de proteger seu reino, Malévola cruelmente coloca uma maldição irrevogável na filha recém-nascida do rei dos humanos, Aurora. Conforme cresce, Aurora enfrenta um conflito fervente entre o reino da floresta, local onde ela cresceu e ama, e o reino humano, que mantém o seu legado. Seu objetivo é tomar o controle do mundo de contos de fada, fazendo com que os vilões vençam e que os finais das histórias jamais sejam felizes novamente. Isto faz com que Cinderela (Sarah Michelle Gellar), mais conhecida como Ella entre os amigos, tenha que encontrar um meio de deter Frieda, contando com a ajuda de Rick (Freddie Prinze Jr.), Manco, Mambo e um exército composto de fadas e anões.
On the occasion of their daughter's birth, the king and queen give a lavish feast. Among the guests are twelve fairies who endow the infant in the cradle with all good qualities. As the king loathes diligence, he does not invite the thirteenth fairy - the fairy of diligence. A captain lets her slip into the castle and she casts a spell on Sleeping Beauty, wishing death upon her. The twelfth fairy transforms and mitigates the spell. On the day she turns fifteen, the princess is to sink into a hundred-year sleep after pricking her finger on a spindle.

Popeye and Bluto are knights, jousting for the honor of Sleeping Beauty (Olive, with long blonde hair). Of course, Bluto plays dirty, squirting grease on the field in front of Popeye's horse, and using an extra-long lance. But Popeye wins anyhow, and climbs SB's tower with Bluto right behind him. They fight over her, playing tug-of-war with her pigtails.

This performance of Sleeping Beauty was filmed as a sort of celebration of the grand reopening of the Bolshoi Theater's Main Stage (it had been closed for several years for a refurbishment).
