A violinista Sydney Wells sofreu um acidente durante sua infância que a deixou cega. Quando ela consegue recuperar a visão através de um transplante de córnea, ela passa a ver imagens sombrias e aterrorizantes que a amedrontam. Sem poder distinguir se a situação é devido a adaptação de seu corpo à nova situação, a jovem passa a desconfiar que a causa está ligada ao doador.
