He arrives at an unofficial driving school. The driving school is run by the Uehara family. There, Kiyotaka Sato and Todoroki learn that they graduated from the same high school. They spend their summer at the driving school.

After successfully won the Tokyo qualifying tournament, Chihaya and her friends are set to go on to the nationals. As they prepare, Chihaya is faced with new personal issues as her childhood friend and inspiration, Arata, has announced that he has quit competitive karuta. Not only that, but a new rival emerges in the reigning female champion karuta player, Shinobu Wakamiya, a karuta prodigy who became the nation's and the world's greatest female karuta player as a 9th grader. "Kamisama Help!" takes place at an abandoned school where a mass murder occurred 25 years earlier... Several cars of people arrive at the abandoned school "Satogakuin". They are "horror planners" who will convert the school into the ghost house. To kill time staff members roam inside the school and feel a strange sense of familiarity. Atsuo walks around by himself. He becomes stunned when he finds an old picture frame in an office. In the picture, a man dressed in a white outfit looks just like Atsuo. At that moment a mysterious blue hits Atsuo and he loses consciences. He starts to have visions of bodies and ghosts covered with blood and suddenly he goes back in time to August 12, 1985. On that day a Japan Air Liner crashed and Satogakuin teacher Sato Takashi goes on a murdering rampage. Sato Takashi was known as a kind and generous person, but his mind was taken over by an evil entity. That evil entity now tries to take over Atsuo's mind...

High school student Noguchi learns that there isn't a single male softball team in the nearby area. He figures if he starts up a softball team, they are sure thing to go to the national tournament. He then persuades his friend Onitsuka to help him start a softball club. Once Noguchi and Onitsuka rounds up enough players, they teams preps to win one all important game in the tournament.

Kaori is an intense kendo fighter who has been training since she was young. Sanae is a girl who has only participated in kendo casually, but somehow manages to beat Kaori in the final tournament of junior high school. Although Sanae doesn’t particularly care about it, Kaori holds a grudge, setting up a rivalry that bleeds over into high school.

High school student Mio (Mari Iriki) lives in Kagoshima. Since her novelist father was lost, she has refused to go to school and lived on her father's yacht, which is anchored at a dock. Kiyomi (Asami Tanaka) likes yachting, because of her father's influence back in her childhood days. During a practicing yachting, Kiyomi lost her friend and she also quit her special yachting school. Kiyomi then transfers to a regular high school. Finally, these two girls meet.

The story of the original manga writer Rieko Saibara is depicted by her alter ego Natsumi Takahara who revisits where she was raised and recalls her childhood and how everything turned out.
