A wannabe artist travels from a small Swedish town to the big city of Stockholm to seek personal happiness and success but, in the process, finds himself a new friend.

After hiring Micke, a carpenter from Stockholm, to help renovate her kitchen, upper class Veronica develops immediate feelings for him. The two are keen to start a relationship, but their two children are less enthusiastic. Veronica decides a holiday to Bohuslan where her parents live is just what the couple needs.

The film is set in the Tricity in 2003, ten years after the end of communism in Poland. The plot, apparently based on the real-life experiences of Kraków businessmen Lech Jerzorny and Paweł Rey, is about three young, talented businessmen who open a high-tech factory. This comes to the attention of the local state ‘mafia’, the local Prosecutor, played by Janusz Gajos, and tax office boss, played by Kasimierz Kaczor, who are both jealous and would like to make money for themselves. We are in Poland, so success must be punished.

Life coach Sven travels to Thailand to fulfil his dreams as a writer. He meets Gitte a yoga-practising free spirit from Norway. Then along comes Anja, an editor who works for a Swedish publisher. What does he really want to do with his life, and who does he want to do it with?

Vildhundarna is a drama far away from the Swedish reality. It's about four young people on the outermost, with norms dispersed, the only survivors in a nameless city, in a nameless country. Vildhundarna could take place in the former Yugoslavia, or why not Warszawa in 1944 or Rwanda...?

O filme conta a história de uma adolescente, Agnes, que se mudou com a família para uma pequena cidade sueca chamada Amal, o lugar mais chato da terra, segundo ela mesma. Agnes não consegue fazer amigos no colégio e sua companheira na sala é uma garota que vive em uma cadeira de rodas. Para complicar ainda mais as coisas, ela está apaixonada por Elin, uma garota do colégio, porém o único a saber desta paixão é seu computador, onde ela faz todas as suas anotações. No dia de seu aniversário, Agnes não percebe que a irmã mais velha de Elin descobre suas anotações e faz uma aposta com a irmã: se ela deixar Agnes beijá-la, pagará à irmã 20 cronas(moeda sueca). Este é só o começo de uma série de situações vividas por essas adolescentes nesta pacata cidade. Vencedor do Prêmio de Melhor Filme Gay/Lésbico no Festival de Berlim 1999.
