A city man receives a call from the woman he loved and embarks on a clandestine journey to reunite with her in an outlaw community settled on the top of a mountain. Two successive guides take him to his destination: the reunion with a story that he has not been able to forget.

Pedro (Jose Luis Garcia-Perez) é um dentista homossexual que passa a vida à procura do prazer. Certo dia, ele se oferece para cuidar de Bernardo (David Castillo), filho de 11 anos de sua irmã Violeta (Elvira Lindo), que parte para a Índia com o namorado. No início, Pedro muda o seu comportamento para poupar o sobrinho, que não dá nenhum trabalho para o tio. Mas a tranqüilidade acaba quando Violeta e o companheiro são presos e ficam anos encarcerados na Índia. Pedro terá então de enfrentar a avó paterna de Bernardo, já que ela não aceita que o neto seja criado por um homossexual.

Miguel, a young psychiatrist working in Madrid, learns that his wife has just dumped him for no one else than his own father while he's expecting his mother-in-law's visit, who's come to the city on a medical revision, and doesn't know anything about her daughter's affair; to make things worse, one of Miguel's deranged patients has just stolen his wallet. Going to his patient's home to retrieve his wallet he'll meet instead his spontaneous and outspoken hairdresser sister Jasmina, who's bound to change Miguel's ordered, upper-middle-class world for good.

A group of friends, all about in their thirties, gather at Julio's home, one of them, to help him paint the walls. During the hours they are together, their problems, their envy, their failures, their quarrels come to light. Around them, Marta will find how they really are.

The usually absent father of a chubby kid shows up to take him on a road trip.
